Pretty easy to figure that out by studying the recording in more detail. Echoes have a signature different than sound that arrived directly through airborne propagation.
And of course they have a fixed relationship in time, and usually in amplitude, to the original source sound. So for a recording from a fixed position of a sound emanating from a fixed position the echoes will have a fixed temporal relationship to the original sounds.
Given the large scale geometry of the area it is probably possible to infer the location of the original sound source or sources from the echo patterns.

IMHO the only cover-up at this point is the motive.
They KNOW the motive...or have strong evidence of the motive...and they have thus far managed to cover it up.

Very odd rant in the article. I think most of the conspiracy theories here on FR are totally ridiculous, but it’s natural to speculate in a case like this and I don’t see that the “investigators” are being hindered, even by the truly wacky posts.
Here’s my conspiracy theory. His target was the secret government planes and fuel tanks. When they didn’t explode he turned on the easy targets at the concert.
That explains him firing from two different windows. The first had a clear view of the tanks. When that didn’t work he smashed a different window that gave him a clear view of the concert goers.
And he wanted to escape. He would have wanted to see the results of his actions. He wasn’t on a suicide mission.
You don’t even need one LEO person involved to have a conspiracy.
You may, however, need someone wearing a LEO uniform.
Remember the folks flashing Secret Service ID at the top of the Grassy Knoll.
They were not Secret Service.
Easy peasy.
Some people are.
Seriously, though, everybody can comment and raise questions, but the author is right to discourage wild speculation.
When somebody says, "Please stop" it's not like they're banning all future discussion. If you disagree he can't bar you from participating.
But you should give his answers some serious consideration. Compared to a lot of the wild speculation people get into, what he says does carry some weight.
I’m probably more of a skeptic than most. But I welcome anyone with any ideas about what might be going on here. No harm comes to anyone from free discussion, only from suppressing it.
