I quickly started noticing a fowl odor in the news narrative on this Vegas massacre.

You might have already guessed, yes I knew right away the shooter was using a tripod or similar gear to stabilize the gun(s). But that alone is not enough to achieve both the high rate of fire and precision accuracy that occurred in Vegas. Only a precision-sighted rifle with a quality optic can drill those kinds of groupings at such a distance, but there's more--the longevity and redundancy of machine gun fire.

Far be it for a former blue-suiter such as myself to contradict the 8 years of experience by Marine Acree, but I don't think that the Marine Corps gave Marine Acree much training on the Slide Fire Solutions bump fire stock, operation of which relies on forward pressure applied to the foregrip and the free ability of the weapon to recoil into the shoulder.

Not something that can be done with any reliability from a bipod or tripod.

I also don't think that Marine Acree has any experience with 22,000 targets herded into an acre and a half of space, and how many hits one could make without any magnified optics at all.

Paddock had red dot sights on his bump fire stock equipped rifles, and a red dot is plenty accurate enough to lob rounds into the concert area.

this whole ‘multiple shooters’ or ‘multiple sites’, where are all the other broken windows? did they shoot from the roof top?

i listed to the audio and sure, during a chaotic incident, there are bound to be mistakes, but there were a ton of police claiming different shots from areas away from the hotel and other audio where police noted it was from differing points in the hotel, etc...wish an expert would listen and see if they can clear up the odd audio reports.

Some people request no housekeeping on a daily basis, for privacy concerns. If asked what was so heavy, he could have stated he was getting ready for an event, and had lots of equipment.

I would imagine that lots of businessmen meet with people in hotels, conduct demonstrations of business equipment, etc. Especially the sort of people who reserve a suite.

Also, I've been known to order a couple extra drinks from room service to save for later, and say that there are two guests in order to get extra silverware, etc.

I have the same background. And I was an instructor (PMI). It's legit. The shooter was not a rifleman. And he had the resources to get a legit machinegun if he wanted to. Bump stock in an ineffective novelty.

A real rifleman would have killed 100+ with less wounded.

I dont know what to call this kind of thinking.... Argumentum ad Expertum? It often fails. It reminds me of the Physics professor who argued that 911 had to be a demolitions job because the towers fell too fast (yeah, that still doesn't make sense but whatever, he was a PHYSICIST by Gods sake). Invariably, these analysis leave out details that would disagree with their conclusions (pinpoint accuracy? WTF, the guy sprayed an area with TENS OF THOUSANDS of people, who needs accuracy?). But since the person is some sort of "expert", people become afraid to disagree.

Conspiracy theories are generally absurd, and the people who adhere to them even when given info that would otherwise put them to rest, are... idiots.

The Dems are in the doldrums. Unofficial polling is showing the Dems losing ground on global warming, their strategic manipulation for the destruction of nation state sovereignty. Their second major initiative- the removal of Trump is turning up bupkis. Their entire agenda is under water and they know they are out of time in the Age of Info. So Soros, Rockefeller, Bush & Co. needed to get the troops focused and angry. Look for more of these sorts of operations in the near future and then something really big, beyond 9/11.

The 72 minutes is the time from when the shooting started until the police broke into his room.
The shooting lasted somewhere around 12 minutes or so. Eventually we’ll get some better info.

FB isn't likely to leave that up unless it serves some purpose. Some of it you have to take with a grain of salt. Some were asking why all those police in the ground didn't use longer-range weapons in their trunks to fire at the hotel windows to pin the shooter down. Maybe they aren't allowed issued rifles or didn't want to risk hitting other occupants of the hotel. To me it would be a no brainer if they had the range (which might have required an arc depending and would require expert marksmanship).

Somebody commented on a board that they didn't see any bump stocks and that the weapons were full-auto.

Maybe some of it will make better sense if we get an accurate timeline.

I always wonder why Jackie didn't get hit.

If it’s time for that series to play out, I suppose it’s time to see if I can find me some of those guns that people keep losing in canoes...little oil, they should be just fine.
