When we talked, she was battling COPD, and even though she felt poorly, she was upbeat. I will miss her optimism.

Almost a year, but I didn't know until now.
With so many threads obituaries of FReepers passed get lost in the news shuffle.
You were a stand out-different & interesting person.
A poem of yours...
If I think about how crappy I really feel
my head will spin, I will turn tail and
head straight back to the blankets again
of course, I would miss the sun in its glory
the fern opening noiselessly in the garden
miss the bees that are buzzing about the
flowering shrubs, and just have myself to blame
for missing the nature show.
If I really let myself go there, I would
miss the day, but be wide awake for the
wonder of the glorious heavens twinkling
millions of miles away, miss the shooting stars
at play, and miss walking the rim of the Milky Way.
