If it took an hour to get into the room, he could have been a patsy and the guy who shot him in the head could have gotten out of the hotel through ductwork. He was at the end of a hall so when he shot out hismclosed room door, it made the entire hallway a no go zone until swat came and was ready. Guy could crawl around in the ceilig and get somewhere far away, wearing police gear or tourist gear, and blend in to the crowds. He could have even had his/her own room under an assumed name to go to and wait til it all cooled over.
Realizing how much time betwen when the shooting stopped and when thy got in there tells me lots of time for another shooter getaway.
He was having a spat with his wife.
