Tufts University students recently complained that the Economics Department focuses too much on capitalist ideologies while neglecting to sufficiently demonize President Trump.
In an op-ed for The Tufts Observer titled Moving Beyond Capitalism," Gabriela Bonfiglio and Kyle Lui assert that there is little intellectual diversity within the department, which they accuse of using lecture-style classes to subtly indoctrinate their students in capitalist ideologies.

The Economics of Personal Liberty
WHAT A BUNCH OF FOOLS!
That explains it.
I took econ in 1978 :) I got a B but never forgot the fundamentals.
Do they at least still draw an X?
Absolutely agree! "Capitalism" is the marxists' word for property rights - in short, my stuff is mine, to be used by me as I decide. When they denigrate economic freedom, free enterprise, and property rights as "capitalism," they reveal their intention to steal other people's stuff for their own, supposedly "better" purposes.
why are they complaining about a class they’re likely not taking?
why are they attending a school they detest and are why aren’t they paying for it?
And, when did each individual opinion of a bully with ulterior motives become an actionable item on the slate of a knee-jerk university, whose actions accomplish nothing more than an increase in ‘fees’ for subsequent student bodies?
Diversity = only Marxists allowed.
“free enterprise”
A voluntary transaction between two people that benefits both (or “maximizes their utility” if you want econ-speak). It’s not really hard to understand at all.
You have to wonder why people would ever choose to get any service from the government at all (except defense and national governance rules). Without competition, they are corrupt, lazy, unproductive, and turn out crap.
I teach Economics courses.
I inform my students: “this is the ONLY course you will take during college that explains the benefits and morality of free enterprise and voluntary exchange. If you want to learn about the benefits of government run economies or socialism (collectivism) you can take a Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy or Labor Studies class on this campus. My course is about the mechanics of “Markets”: Sellers, Buyers, and the mutual gains produced by trading between private property owners (supported by legal institutions protecting individual ownership rights, e.g. the U.S. Constitution) - and we will also explore the benefits to consumers in particular and to our society in general of freedom of choice and vigorous economic competition. Thank you.”
Sigh ... this is why BS/BA degrees are not held in high regard anymore.

I thought that was what engineers earned. If I was wrong, what do they earn?
.
Are these mad, insane, nutty students there to learn or to teach?
These fools will be worthless when they eventually graduate. Hope their parents are getting the basement all ready for them.
Sorry if this has already been posted.
But, Capitalism is the purest expression of Human Nature ever devised.
To deny Capitalism is to deny ones own Human Nature.
Even Red China ain’t as totalitarian Stalinist as these special snowflakes.
Excellent, every bit of it excellent.
Good on you.
And before that, India
Thanks Lepton.
We have to many “isms” in this country.
Just need capitalism.
