Tom Petty died Monday morning after life support was terminated, reports TMZ. The singer was found unconscious Sunday night after a massive cardiac arrest. Paramedics were able to restore a pulse, says TMZ, but his family accepted the inevitability of the singers death, and support was terminated this morning.
The Rock and Roller was known for his rhythmic Florida style. He was famous as early at 19. He transplanted himself to Southern California, where he was known for songs that celebrated Southern California living, such as "Free Falling."
This is shocking news to me.
Tom Petty was a regular guy, I liked him very much, In 1985 i was working at his home in Encino doing construction on his patio, was just there for the day pumping the concrete and had no idea it was his house, at the end of the day he brought us pizza and beer and sat and chatted there was only six of us there
Nice story about Petty. In 1985 he was at the height of his stardom. Though he is still with us it does not sound like it will be for long. Sad.
Keith has all his toxins and pathogens in perfect balance.
Yes I know and he credits God for removing his addictions.
Walk with Electroglide, on the blue highway
I almost died on the blue highway
(Referencing his near fatal bike accident)
Good song.
Tom Petty died on the wrong day, just like Farah Fawcette.
Nobody will remember...
how about George Harrison on 9-11
Me,too, sincerely.
I love that video. I don't know how many times I have watched/listened to it since Prince died. Who is the singer besides Tom Petty? Steve Winwood?
Harrison did not die close to 9/11.
Hey, Zuckbook, censor *this* fake news!
Well by god he was in The Postman. Thanks Rebelbase.
No disrespect, but watching him in that video reminded me of this lesbian I used to work with. But she had a deeper voice.
(see tagline for further information)
Just spent the past couple of hours watching and listing to Tom Petty stuff on Youtube. Forgot how good he and the band were.

One of the most amazing male rock voices ever.
Stirring music.
He was an oasis of testosterone in the Great Male Tampon Desert.
