Tom Petty died Monday morning after life support was terminated, reports TMZ. The singer was found unconscious Sunday night after a massive cardiac arrest. Paramedics were able to restore a pulse, says TMZ, but his family accepted the inevitability of the singers death, and support was terminated this morning.
The Rock and Roller was known for his rhythmic Florida style. He was famous as early at 19. He transplanted himself to Southern California, where he was known for songs that celebrated Southern California living, such as "Free Falling."

“Tom Pettys guitar teacher in Gainesville was a guy named Don Felder...who later went on to join some group about birds.”
Am I correct a couple of groups with Florida roots, namely Allman Bros. and Lynyrd Skynyrd?

He is about 30 years, clean and sober.
He hung some with Glenn Campbell in Phoenix area, too.

after a massive cardiac arrest There really arent varying gradations of cardiac arrest. There are only two settings: on or off. Is a mini cardiac arrest less harmful?

Don “Fingers” Felder joined the Eagles and was the last full partner.
Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmidt were just hired employees.

On the radio, they just said he might still be alive, clinging to life, after they took him off life support.
I hope he's a better clinger.

Hey, 73 is young. Just turned that! If Tom Petty is still holding on, good for him! If not, what a loss.

I can’t quit crying; I loved his music so much. Went to see him in Indy at an outdoor concert and due to the lightening, they only played a few songs and apologized for having to quit.
