Democrats Immediately Call For Gun Control After Las Vegas Shooting
Daily Caller ^ | 10/02/2017 | Peter Hasson

Congressional Democrats chose not to wait for all the facts to come in before immediately pushing for increased gun control measures following the Las Vegas shooting Sunday night that left 50 people dead and more than 400 injured.

It’s not yet clear how the shooter, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, acquired his guns or if gun control measures could have prevented him from obtaining them, but leading Democrats are already demanding stricter gun control legislation.

Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy issued a statement Monday morning claiming that “the thoughts and prayers of politicians are cruelly hollow if they are paired with continued legislative indifference.” Murphy demanded Congress “get off its ass and do something” following the shooting.

“Tragedies like Las Vegas have happened too many times,” Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote on Twitter. “We need to have the conversation about how to stop gun violence. We need it NOW.”

I haven’t had a chance to review the following earlier thread on this issue, but speaking of Democrats beating the drums for gun control …

If you have the money and pay the transfer fees, not hard. Heard he owned two planes so maybe he had money. Also heard he worked for Lockheed for a while. I worked furor LM for 36 years. Don't think that has anything to do with it. Still way too early for all the politics. Mrs rktman' face book is full of anti gun crap already. 😡

"Easy and cheap conversions are possible."

Actually, it's not that easy, cheap or available. Yes, it can be done but not as easily as a lot of posts are making it out to be.

Gun control freaks forget that any such gun control law will never see the light of day in a court challenge.

The America-haters taking another shot at disarming the American people. Before the slavery and control of communism can take over the country, Americans need to be disarmed.

I’ve heard you can get any weapon you want on the dark web, if you have the right contacts and enough cash.

Like clock work and as usual it is all about fund raiser letter material from liberal schmucks who want to believe “we can only be safe from guns when no one has guns.”

Not necessarily full-auto. A Bump-fire stock gives effectively full-auto rate on a semi rifle.

And a full auto weapon CAN be obtained relatively cheaply. . . if you choose to go outside the law.

There are easily-available plans and directions for building your own full-auto SMG available on the Web. Heck there are shops up in the Khyber Pass that make AK-47’s, purely using hand tools.

The point is, it could be done in a number of ways, some within the law, but most outside of the law...

Bodies are still warm and RATs are calling for gun control.
What a surprise.

The calls for “gun control” have pretty much become an automatic reflex of the gun grabbers, and sometimes, it has worked. Self-defense, in their estimation, is not a valid reason for possession or carry, no time, nowhere, no excuse ever acceptable.

Tell that to the guy firing AT you. Gun-free zones are shooting galleys for those who do not pay attention to the letter of the law anyway.

Gun control banned the ARMED DRONE that would have quickly killed sniper.

Democrats murdered Puerto Rican children, by teamsters blocking food to needy. Democrat registration & background checks are needed.

We need Democrat control of their murderous ways.

You may not like this, but in my opinion this tragedy has more to do with the evil and destructive actions and programs of our politicians year after year and less to do with external terrorism.

Gun control is not the answer. Without guns, he would have found another way to pull of the attack (vehicle, bombs, etc.)
