You don’t gotta be in Hollyweird. I grew up in Kansas City in the 60’s. I often had men offer me rides while I walked home from school or to football practice. Those were easy to avoid situations. It’s the ones that your family trust that are dangerous. Barely escaped a couple of carefully laid traps there.

One of mom’s caregivers still went on calls recently and she says the casting couch is alive and well.
I took my miniature red headed 5 year old to an agent once (dumb!!!!!!!) because he could read and looked two years old. I thought he could do a commercial or two and have some $ for his future. First thing they did was TAKE HIM ALONE into a room and yes, the woman invited a man in to the room. It only lasted 5 minutes but we were done with that idea. ANY ACTIVITY WHERE THEY SEPARATE THE CHILD FROM THE PARENT IS A NO GO.
Though I was pleased to be by chance on a tv show set recently and see the little girl star had her actual mother right with her 24/7.
So many men have that experience, as boys, where some man was too interested! Creepy.
But it’s ok if they’re 15.

I think the “it’s about power!” idea is mostly feminist garbage. It’s not difficult to have power over a child. This is something far worse. And, in the case of adult rape, there are plenty of rape cases where the man wants sex, the woman doesn’t, and the man forces the issue. He’s not thinking about showing his power. He’s thinking about not being denied what he wants.
And, I’m sure there are cases where the man wants to show he has power over the woman. But it’s not all black and white like the feminists like to claim.
It’s more than creepy. It’s pathetic and sad just how twisted these people are.
And what’s amazing at how often it happened. It just blows that whole notion that gay doesn’t = pedophile business. Sure seems to be true more often than not.

I grew up in small towns in New York State in the early 50s and my mother moved me as a Senior in HS to California in 1956.
At 16 I was very naive about sex and sexual situations and had heard ‘rumors’ of ‘bad guys’ but never was in a ‘bad’ situation.
I noticed I had become very ‘popular’ in the LA area of CA prior moving to Glendale, being a kid I was ok with walking.
I did mention to my Mother about how ‘friendly’ the people seemed to be - offering rides etal - and she just told me to ‘be careful’,
I did manage to remain ‘unscathed’ and within 4 or so months I was in the USN and after boot camp and during school in San Diego, trips to a little town called Tijuana turned me into a real ‘two fisted drinking and ladies man’ and a Westpac cruise before & during 18th birthday ‘finished’ the learning process.

Navy here too. Many a trip to TJ, ate lots of street vendor tacos, but steered clear of the “ladies” down there. WestPac is another story though. Some of those PI girls were just gorgeous.
