Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:
(snip)
Judge Janine: Ok, why is he not being charged with a crime?
Chaffetz: I can tell you that while I was in Congress and the Chairman of the Oversight Committee, I did go over and visit with Attorney General Sessions and it was one of the most frustrating discussions I had because whether it was the IRS, Fast and Furious, the email scandal that we went through, I did not see the Attorney General willing to just let Lady Justice administer justice and then follow through. I understood maybe the last six months of the Obama Administration
Judge Janine: Wait a minute I dont have that much time. You spoke with Sessions on IRS, Fast and Furious. Did he give you a reason? Did he say he was presenting anything to a grand jury? Yes or no?
Chaffetz: No, he basically let me know he wasnt going to pursue anything on the major cases.
Judge Janine: So IRS, on the major cases? Are we talking about Hillary Clinton, because I havent even gotten to her yet.
Chaffetz: Yes, the email scandal of Hillary Clinton. We had Bryan Pagliano. I issued a subpoena for him to appear before the Committee and he said No. He didnt even show up. We issued another subpoena. The US Marshals served it. And you know in my world, if youre in court, I guarantee you that a subpoena is not an optional activity. We wanted the Attorney General to prosecute him and he said No.

Thank you, I hadn’t seen that.
He’s got plenary powers right? That means he’s got ABSOLUTE FRICKIN POWER! Did you tell McConnell and SCOTUS that?
You also need to tell all the law schools and historians because apparently, they didn’t get the memo that the President’s power is absolute.
And while you’re at it, you should make a cross-country tour stopping at all colleges and universities and lecture that you have found a deep dark fact that no American has known before which is that El Presidente has absolute frickin power. Hallefrickinlooya!
He has plenary power over DOJ.
Nor had I, until you mentioned it. I'm the curious type, so...
That constant twinkle in his eyes sickens me.
I’ll interject because some people think Trump must ‘lock her up!’. Looking through the thread I see the common concern of a double standard.
‘Lock her up!’ is a slogan meaning she is a lawbreaker. And she most certainly is. It was an effective campaign slogan because it reminded voters that Clinton is a criminal, a liar, and she most certainly is.
LS is right and wrong. To go after her lowers the prestige of the United States to Banana Republic status.
On the other hand, people see a double standard and are confused or led to believe that the powerful are not subject to the laws that everyone else is.
There are at least two things holding Trump back:
1. Trump always waits until he is attacked first. Right now it is a standoff between he and Mueller. He has been hinting through surrogates in the press that Obama may be the first President to be indicted for espionage (illegal spying on Americans). So he’s got his gun drawn.
2. One fact that most Americans do not know is that Hillary Clinton has $2 billion stashed in Malaysian Banks under the control of Fethullah ‘Feta’ Gulen who has more than $40 billion in Malaysian banks and he is in the USA with hundreds of Islamic ‘schools’.
Gulen is a bad, very bad guy. He was instrumental in addicting thousands upon thousands of Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan with his opium products. His approach was that the greater powers could be taken down with the needle.
Gulen is doing the same in the USA now, by addicting the population and weakening them, he aims to demoralize and cause sickness and disease with his needles.
Trump has on more than one occasion called out the opioid crisis in the US. The liar media has kept it buried.
The opium products are also in the VA system and are often stocked by SEIU employees. Vets have been dropping like flies because the products are swapped out for Gulen’s unapproved products that are 10 X or are .10 X the approved products. The motive is revenge and profit. Dead vets are hounded in VA hospitals as if it is their duty to be organ donors. After they are overdosed or underdosed and are dead, their harvested organs are worth nearly $1 million, hence providing a profit motive for their early demise.
Sound like conspiracy drivel? If you believe this is a conspiracy fantasy, then you haven’t seen how evil certain persons can be in this world, and such evil is now on US soil in force.
This second factor should hold Trump back while Gulen is outed for his role in killing vets along with his ties to Hillary and her ties to him. In other words, there’s a lot more going on than meets the eye. Think Mena-Iran-Contra X 100.
Personally, I would love to see Hillary indicted and Obama publicly shamed and humiliated. But after studying Trump, I can safely say he’s not interested in gaining emotional lynch mob points, he’s interested in winning. Still, the problem of the double standard at some point needs to be addressed. Perhaps NYPD or FBI Field offices will get it done, leaving Trump above the fray and focused on positive things.
Yeah sure, which is why he has to get Congress to advise and consent on who he picks for the DOJ.
The more important question is how is he keeping his job? Another pertinent question is how did the deputy AG, (the guy that appointed Mueller,) get his job, and why is he still there? Or can it be that everything is the way DJT wants it?
Wow. Only knew tangentially about Gulen.
I have extensive info, virtually all logic/circumstantial and no “inside sources” for everyone, but my computer crashed last week (possibly costing me TEN chapters-—80,000 words-—of my forthcoming Reagan biography) and it’s way too much to finger tap on my iPad. When my comp is up, I’ll share.
Also my newest adopted dog, a beautiful (and loving) chihuahua named Peanut died suddenly today, so that shook us up.
I doubt what I lay out will convince anyone, but it may give pause to the “hang Sessions” sentiment.
I agree with all of your sentiments about Sessions, but everything that Sessions is ignoring(?) is apparently OK with DJT....I am aware that old Jeff could be busy as a beaver behind the scenes, just doing everything out of public purview, but I doubt it.
His authority over doj is plenary.
As has been mentioned for months now, the ‘RATs have something on Sessions.
Could be he didn’t do the paper properly on his Chinese adopted children’s paperwork, as I’ve heard on this forum.
Jeff Sessions is a Swamp Creature. He was sent out to pretend to support Donald Trump in the very remote chance Trump would win. When he did win, Sessions was perfectly poised to co-opt anything Trump tried.
Well, he DID reinforce he will vigorously prosecute marijuana use, and he DID inform us he's stepping up Civil Forfieture.
Maybe he can start cracking down on gun ownership after the Las Vegas shooting.
Never trust a computer file to one location, nor 2, nor 4. Have many copies on many media. I will give you proper instructions on grandfather-father-son backups. I have your phone number.
You are uninformed.
You have no clue what so ever about what Sessions is doing. You are just spouting hot air.
And neither do you, bert... neither do you.
Happy to hear your best guess, given that squat has been leaked (which defies FBI routine) and Chaffitz reports nothing shall be done, according to his own conversation with AG Sessions.
Thank you, Laz. You define the point, and you crystalized reality.

Yes, liberals use conservatives' natural tendency for second chances as a weapon against them.
Republicans think the liberals will have learned their lesson and change their ways; liberals think they just bought more time.
