Col. Valle is a firsthand witness of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) response supporting FEMA in Puerto Rico, and as a Puerto Rican himself with family members living in the devastation, his passion for the people is second to none. Its just not true, Col. Valle says of the major disconnect today between the perception of a lack of response from Washington verses what is really going on on the ground. I have family here. My parents home is here. My uncles, aunts, cousins, are all here. As a Puerto Rican, I can tell you that the problem has nothing to do with the U.S. military, FEMA, or the DoD.

I heard something like that on another forum, and I’ll ask you the same thing I asked there. Link?
Trump has acceded immediately to every PR request. But can’t the distribution system (or lack thereof) be pinned on him? The MSM wants to know.
Let me guess. Puerto Rico is a one-party (democrat) government.
Trump is just a Boss!...love that he doesn’t take crap from his critics, not like GWB!
..... Ya .... It's alive an well even now ..... and the Public .... HECK .... The Nation ..... needs to know about the reason why the President needed to put out a clarion call for Truck Drivers in PR. It's because of the Greed of the unions and how they are making things worse .... instead of banding together as concerned citizens of a free nation to help in the time of need. But then again .... It is PR.
Exactly. What other republican would fight back a false media narrative like this? None. Trump just produced his own video and distributed it to the world. This is why he shouldn’t give up his twitter. He gets to cut through the liberal lies. It’s just sad that this has to be done with america’s media. Really sad.
I gotta admit, when he first tweeted a response about PR, I clutched my pearls for about 30 seconds...then I remembered we have seen this movie a few times and it always turns out k, lol!
“Its a lack of drivers for the transport trucks, the 18 wheelers. ... However, only 20% of the truck drivers show up to work.”
This can be solved as it was in the past:
http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/truman-orders-army-to-seize-control-of-railroads
exactly....I heard they are on strike (if true) as I read 1 tweet that said...”Did mayor of San Juan mention union workers at port are on STRIKE & demanding money first before distributing supplies off boat?..”
I. Problem
20% of island truck drivers bothered to show up to deliver.
II. Problem
Island truck drivers are instead of working using time to negotiate their union contract.
III.
Guaynbono Mayor said the San Juan Mayor has been a NO SHOW at the FEMA coordination meetings.
IV.
Mayor Whines A-Lot is dumber than a box of rocks, using her time instead for whining for the camera instead of working with FEMA and getting drivers to show up for work.
Trump should always take care to tweet the facts supporting his allegations. Concise. Provable.
That video he tweeted makes me so proud of our military. Go USA!
Like most units in the Army, there are already Spanish speakers. Sounds like they need to mobilize some National Guard Truck Units. Probably also place the Puerto Rico under martial law. This would not be happening if the island were populated by Swiss, English or German descended people...just saying.
Yup...
Thank you so much for posting this article. It should be required reading for all staff at CNN and the mayor of San Juan and other assorted liberals and people who have no idea what the word LOGISTICS means and how it applies in a true crisis.
The media ...is throwing fuel on this fire and not helping the people of PR. Shame on them.
This is triage time. Critical review time will come later.
That’s awesome! We got this!
Crooked as the day is long.
Reading Facebook critics really got to me tonight. Posted it on FB also. Glad you enjoyed it.
I’m a truck driver, I can drive any truck, been doing it for 37 years and it’s getting slow now so I have free time so how do I get down there? I’m not paying out of my own pocket plane rides. I can be down there this week if they get me a plane ride and haul whatever they want. I also use to drive a taxi in New york city which is the hardest kind of driving anybody can do. I was also homeless and unemployed for 2 years (never took food stamps or welfare) so I’ve experienced extreme hardship. Here I am, ready to go so how do I get down there? I’ll haul every last trailer they got to whereever they need it
They need trucks and drivers.
