The Green Bay Packers asked fans to link arms during the national anthem at Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears to show “unity.” If the footage from the song’s performance is any indication, fans largely ignored that request.
Quarterback Aaron Rogers even made a personal request, saying “we’ve got to come together and talk about these things and grow as a community, as a connected group of individuals in our society, and we’re going to continue to show love and unity, and this week we’re going to ask the fans to join in as well and come together and show people that we can be connected and we can grow together.”

Fans sent a letter by management and endorsed Rodgers by insinuating they are racist and have to be made a LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE and the fans still showed up

What ‘things’? The fact that black folks feel they are above the law and should be able to try to murder a policeman without fear of of being prosecuted? Because that is what colin and his ilk are supporting- almost every single incidence of supposed ‘police brutality against blacks’ was a case where the black person did NOT obey orders, or tried to hurt or kill a police officer
While there are some true cases of police over reactions and or racism- these are VERY FEW AND FAR BETWEEN
White people are statistically more likely to be shot by the police than black folks are- Yet white people aren’t screaming about ‘racial profiling’
So- what ‘things’ do we ‘need to come together on’ again? Black folks believing they are above the law and don’t need to listen to police commands when being questioned or arrested? Black folks ignoring commands? Black folks rioting and ruining people’s lives and businesses? Black folks targeting and murdering police officers because some black person tried to kill a police officer and ended up dead for doing so?

I see the NFL is digging in its heels, trying to achieve some compromise, at least in their minds.
This fits with everything I have learned about them over the last week. Their thinking is pure “swamp” - leftist, crony-capitalists, elitists - sitting atop the American food-chain of government connections for money-making, and progressive, mainstream media for ideology.

The fact that these players had the nerve to expect the fans to link arms is evidence of the fact they thought the fans were “with them” by showing up.
So the only way for them to get the message is for the fans not to show up.
In its reporting, our local, failing leftist newspaper showed a picture of of a few fans linking arms, with a big headline about how great ratings were locally.
Whether they take a knee, raise a fist in the air, or lock arms, the NFL and the networks are using the national anthem to send a political message. This is wrong.
The NFL thinks we won’t notice if they change their method of sending a message and the networks are in cahoots with them because they endorse the message.
In my mind, they might as well all turn around, bend over, and drop their pants.
Piss on rogers and piss on everyone who supports the NFL or NBA. Piss on everyone who went to that games.
Scum. The USA is on the edge of a cliff and they cannot even give up a football game. The Founding Fathers would be proud.
