President Donald Trump together with First Lady Melania Trump plans to visit Asia in November. The president will travel to Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Hawaii on state visits as well as attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Trump’s decision to visit Asia comes at a pivotal moment in the region, faced with threats from North Korea and repeated economic challenges from China. “President Trump will discuss the importance of a free and open Indo-Pacific region to America’s prosperity and security,” the statement from the White House read. Trump will also focus on trade in the region, according to the White House, after after withdrawing the United States from the Trans-pacific partnership trade deal. “He will also emphasize the importance of fair and reciprocal economic ties with America’s trade partners,” the statement read.

That is a long and ambitious trip.
Hawaii is now its own country? Who knew?
And according to Obama. Hawaii is in Asia.
BTW, this trip is only a diversion from Trump’s failure on healthcare, Russia, Comey, The NFL, building a better mouse trap and exposing the secret ingredient in Orange Julius. Oh yeah, and Russia.....

Yeah, I guess you’d have to call a trip to Hawaii a State Visit for Trump. Maybe he can meet the Queen!

I don’t know about Taiwan but there’s not much “Youth of the Future” in Singapore. They have a severe population deficit, like Japan. They recognized this as early as the late 1980s but their steps to fix it have not worked. Also, the deficit they care about is among the ethnic Chinese, 75% of the population. This is the population that the “whiz kids” come from. The Indians less so, and the Malays even less. The present government, which has been in power since 1959, does not want rely on Muslim Malays to provide “the youth of the future”.

As they are running out of land on their tiny island (approx. 270 as. Mi.) Singapore should annex the Malysian state of Jahore.
I can’t argue the point.
However, I believe the youth are mobile and if opportunity rises in Singapore, the will act to fill the void.

Of the countries Trump is visiting this November, Japan, China, South Korea are NOT GROWING and is expected to see population DECREASE in 2 generations.
Only Vietnam and the Philippines are growing ( the latter more so ).
