At the same time comedians, entertainers and others obediently parrot the Democrat talking points. In many cases, they are coached on exactly what to say.
Jimmy Kimmel is one example.
Demo-c-rats...
if he’s so “oh so mighty” when it comes to health care, why doesn’t he at least sponsor 10 surgeries for these kids that he pretends to to be concerned about and put his money where his mouth is?
Ann Coulter exposed this sort of thing years ago when it was a slight variation of the tactic —
The Democrats would trot out victims (like 9/11 widows) to push Democrat Talking Points. And you can’t argue with the policy arguments of 9/11 widows because ... well, what kind of monster would dare to disagree with a 9/11 widow???
But I think the “you can’t disagree with me; I’m a victim” technique has run it’s course.
Now it’s “who would ever disagree with this famous celebrity? Everybody just loves him! So you know he’s right about tax reform, health insurance, space exploration, whatever “
Weak-minded fools go for this.
I wouldn’t call them Surrogates. I’d use a much courser and foul word
Great article.
“Jimmy Kimmels Talking Points Reveal Democrats Are Now A Party Of Celebrity Surrogates”
NOW??? Where has this guy been the last 50 years?
Comedians, actors, and journos are our enemies!!!!
Seriously, anyone else remember Madonna promising blow jobs if you vote for Hillary? Celebrity Surrogates have done little to change elections.
Right now all the sports figures expounding on the virtues of disrespecting the National Anthem is just going to backfire on the Democrats.
Sorosgates?
Celebrities are America’s surrogate royalty - to our great detriment.
I emphatically include celebrity Mega-Church preachers.
Twitter also inserts talking points into accounts.
I bet the celebs are unaware for the most part as they have companies that handle Twitter accounts.
That's so true, detective. Remember Georgia?

Georgia. It was supposed to be the race that would give Democrats their groove back, a chance to claim blue turf inside red territory and signal the political perils of Trumpism in districts across the country. The Democratic Party's all-in approach to Jon Ossoff's candidacy backfired so badly that the big winner was the man who was the target of all the organizing energy on the left.
President Trump capped the night declaring outright victory not just in the Georgia election but for the slate of contests held in the Trump era. Ossoff became a vessel for national anger at Trump and a test case with implications far beyond a single House race.
Ossoff as a 30-year-old blank slate of a candidate with scant political experience who happened not to live in the district he was seeking to represent, gladly took Hollywood and Manhattan dollars without adopting fiery anti-Trump messaging or Bernie Sandersstyle progressivism and campaigned as an even-keeled moderate. --SNIP--more on FR and at abcnews.go.com ...

Failed Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff received 7,218 private donations from California residents and only 808 donations from inside of Georgias sixth congressional district.
By contrast, Hillary Clinton had overwhelming support from California liberals. She earned $132,137,278 during the election against Trump, a full 22.49 percent of her campaigns total fundraising haul. The presidential candidate ended up earning and spending nearly $1.2 billion in her fight against Trump. Perhaps not surprisingly, $49,224,731 to Georgia's Ossoff came from residents of the Los Angeles area.

Mmm.....I guess Hollywood got confused. They are often confused.....no biggie. At the time, Morning Joe said Ossoff looked miscast as a Georgia candidate. Joe said Ossoff looked rather like an uncredited walk-on actor from "Reds" .....Beatty's Communist movie.
One of the braindead Black Caucus members said Ossoff was "another
JFK" that Ossoff projected that handsome, brash, virile, self-assured
masculinity reminiscent of JFK.
So Ossoff looked in the mirrrr and saw an amazing likeness. He started talking
w/ a New England accent, told people he lived in a "compound," and ordered
"Boston clam chowdah" in a Georgia Tea Room.
If only Ossoff's "Cuber policy" got more attention, he might have pulled it off.
Vote totals' depressing tale: Democrat Ossoff got fewer votes than a candidate who didnt even exist.
