Just one week after many members of the Patriots kneeled during the national anthem, a new report indicates that they will all stand together as a team next time out.
A league source told CSNNE’s Gary Tanguay on Tuesday that all Patriots players will stand during the national anthem before next Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers at Gillette Stadium. Many stood and interlocked their arms during the anthem last Sunday before the game against the Texans, while a large portion kneeled.
Teams across the league had similar demonstrations last Sunday, which were mostly a response to controversial comments made by President Donald Trump about NFL players who sit or kneel during the national anthem. The president described such players as ‘sons of bitches’ during a rally in Alabama last Friday, also declaring that they should be fired for doing so.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft was among many executives across the league to respond to Trump’s comments, saying he was “deeply disappointed” by his remarks. Quarterback Tom Brady also said he “disagrees” with what Trump said, supporting his teammates’ right to choose what to do during the anthem. Both Kraft and Brady stood during the anthem last Sunday, while Brady locked arms with Patriots receiver Phillip Dorsett.
The decision of many players to kneel during the national anthem in Foxboro drew a wide range of reactions, some negative. Former Patriots tackle Matt Light said he felt “ashamed” to be a Patriot for the first time in his life. Fans appeared split on the issue of players protesting the anthem.
If the Patriots do end up standing as a collective group during the national anthem next Sunday, it will send the message of unity that the players were trying to send last weekend.

It would just be fun if the rest of us treated football players and the NFL the way they’ve treating us.
Before doing a service for any of them we sit them down to listen to our politics while insulting them in the process. Turn about’s fair play, right? Guess the NFL jerks make so much money they think ONLY they and their ‘feelings’ matter - - and the REST OF US need to shut up and sing. Eff em.
The whole thing has just run its course. This is all just for show. Until I see the NFL, with all its reach, power and money, and all these black athletes heading into the inner cities and schools to bridge the gap in relations between community and systemic racism, then let’s just get back to playing football.
Jerry Jones is a genius. They kneeled for 10 seconds and then stood for the Anthem. He pleased everyone. And that’s why ALL the owners that are standing and locking arms or kneeling are doing what they’re doing.
Owners don’t see in black and white. They see GREEN. And that’s it. They are doing what they’re doing because they’re looking for the fastest way back to normal. Period.
They don’t want to alienate fans, lose business partners or sponsors or deal with a politcal mess. Fastest way back to normal.......

Agreed. Apparently the elitist NFL and all of its members think that they are better than the rest of us and should be allowed to insult us. It would be nice if people would show them that they are not by not buying their product.
Also, it may very well hurt them. Lets see how business is doing for them in a month, several months, and a year from now. And anything short of a full heartfelt apology is inadequate IMO. No statements of attempted justification, moral equivalency, or whatever “explanation” will make up for what has done.

Brady stood. Kraft could've put his players and coaches on notice, but he didn't. I fully blame Kraft for this one, and I don't care if he's finally cracking down or what. He and his team showed us who they are.

“All Patriots To Stand For National Anthem Against Panthers”
Misleading headline, all able patriots have always, and will always stand for the Anthem. This just refers to a bunch of spoiled, self important brats, who happen to call their team Patriots.
I’ve watched that league.
Most of the girls have excellent skills and form (that is not a joke). It is like watching women’s basketball. The fundamentals are great. Just not the level of power and strength of their male counterparts.
Different style of play.
That, and my bride will not let me watch women in bikini’s play football.
