The former Democratic congressman who nominated communist 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone to West Point is now disavowing Rapone’s recent comments, which range from attacks on Secretary of Defense James Mattis to calls for political violence.
Former Democratic Rep. Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania told The Daily Caller News Foundation that Rapone’s long history of extremist tweets, which include calling Mattis an “evil, vile f****,” is shocking, disappointing and abhorrent.
“Several years ago, I met Spenser Rapone when he was a high school student seeking an appointment to West Point,” Altmire said. “At the time, he was an outstanding, well-rounded student who came from a good family. I have not been in touch with him in the years since the appointment, and I was shocked and extremely disappointed in the recent reports of his indefensible actions.”
“The behavior of 2nd Lieutenant Rapone is symbolic of a larger problem in our society — the epidemic of incivility in our public discourse,” Altmire continued. “While I strongly support the rights of American citizens to express their opinions, the actions of 2nd Lieutenant Rapone are abhorrent and appear to be in clear violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, in addition to being inconsistent with the values of the United States Military Academy. I have not doubt that the U.S. Army will take appropriate action.”

Rep. Altmire should have been suspicious the instanrt he saw Spenser Rapone’s first name. It’s spelled funny. Most people spell it Spencer, like actor Spencer Tracy.
As a side note, be wary of any girl with the first name Kathi. I speak from personal experience there.
Can’t blame the congressman. It’s not like they personally interview and know them.

Not sure in this case but Obama promoted a lot of leftist punks in the military. The damage from 8 years of obama is unthinkable.

No - he learned it on Facebook, instagram and tumblr and other social media which are nothing more than youth indoctrination sites by socialists. (Seriously Tumblr runs a weekly “knowledge time” post that is out at the top of each page where you can learn things like gender diversity and the evils of capitalism.)
Anybody consuming and learning will suck up the propaganda and think they’re doing good and trying to fight a corrupt system.
When I went to high school, reading newspapers and being informed of current events was taught as a sign of civility and education. Of course it’s all propaganda now but they’re still teaching that.
Parents wanted to be "creative" and "inventive" to make their special snowflake unique.
They succeeded.
Just a note about this, don’t read too much into it. For one thing, Altmire during his time in the Congress represented a fairly conservative district and he was one of those true blue dog democrats. He got defeated by Keith Rothfus who is currently serving and is very conservative.
As for recommending him to West Point, I’ve been involved in this process for a few perspective academy applicants and quite frankly, the Congressmen/women rely quite a lot on others recommendations and opinions. They truly know very little about the applicant they are recommending.
How is it this guy hasn't been detained and shipped back to the brig in Leavenworth for court-martial?

If you read the article, sounds like he got radicalized while serving a tour in Afghanistan as a prior enlisted. Odd.
I do believe he has mental problems and it’s something that should have been picked up when he was still at West Point.
Then again it may have been and was ignored like Bradley Manning’s case.
That’s what surprised me too.
This kid outted or Doxxed himself, perhaps to get a short term thrill from the attention and noteriety.
