Allan Jones is CEO of Hardwick Clothing and Check Into Cash payday loan company announced on Tuesday his is through with sponsoring the wardrobes and advertising on the NFL.
Hardwick Clothing is Americas oldest suit maker.
In his statement Jones said, Our companies will not condone unpatriotic behavior! The Times Free Press reported:
Two years ago, Cleveland, Tenn., businessman Allan Jones was proudly showing off his newly acquired Hardwick Clothing-brand suits by providing the wardrobe for NBCs on-air talent during the networks broadcasts of NFL football games.
But after NFL players and coaches challenged President Donald Trump and many took a knee during the national anthem played before their games over the weekend, Jones said he is through sponsoring the wardrobes or advertising on stations that air the National Football League.
Jones, CEO of the payday lending chain Check Into Cash and owner of Hardwick Clothes Americas oldest suit maker tweeted his criticism and change of heart Tuesday.
"I just read the statement by your CEO, Allan Jones, regarding the unpatriotic displays by NFL players and team owners. Thank you for taking a stand for America. My next suit will be a Hardwick suit."
And received this reply:
"Thank you so much for your support. We have been putting America first for 137 years by remaining 100%Made in America since the day we opened in 1880. We are proud to represent this country and the flag that flies over it. Check us out Hardwick.com. Thank you"
Pretty soon the only advertisements left will be for feminine hygiene products and cialis.
yeah, ooops....meant sheer.
Quite expensive.
Some are saying that the Federal Globalists co-opted the NFL during the Obama Administration to be one of their major propaganda arms.
Govt threatened to go balls to wall investigations brain injuries, crooked business dealings and other chicanery if they did not agree to let them put forth the anti-gun/Patriotic - proGlobalist line.
The timeline for that hypothesis seems to check out. The owners and NFL administrators caved.... and kept the money machine going.
The thought of Marcia Blackburn in the Senate is very gratifying.
Budweiser, Pepsi and Ford are the big 3.
Unless we get to them, we got nuthin’.
Not a bad idea. We hate Corker so much!!
Rush just mentioned Mr. Jones on his program.
What’s funny is that they are being attacked from the Left and the Right.
Oh, bosh.
Let the Humper mix ammonia and bleach.....if he really wants to.
I think that if a player wore a MAGA cap while sitting on the bench, the same people who currently praise the kneelers as "exercising their 1st Amendment rights" would flip out.
Was that a Bob Newhart skit where everybody had to go upstairs to the bathroom to weigh their luggage? and where the pilot asks “anybody on board who has been to Hawaii? it’s sort of liver shaped, right?”
We go down to Cleveland one Sunday in December for Lee University’s Christmas Concert (amazing, BTW!). We may have to go a day early this year and do some shopping.
Not worried about him so much, as I am any potential victim in his vicinity...
Greatr response! I just liked their FB page.
Hardwick Clothes
The NFL has specific rules covering the entire gameday period barring the players from wearing any item or image that promotes a non-football personal message (commercial, political, etc.) unless approved in advance by the league.
If the NFL cared, they would extend that rule to include physical actions by the players that would have the same effect.
Kneeling for the Anthem or raising one's fist would (and should) be barred as they make a political statement that has nothing at all to do with the game.
If the NFL cared, they would also realize that such actions fall into the category of unsportsmanlike conduct, and should be added to the section defining such conduct.
Does the NFL care? We shall see.
I sure hope so. She’s been there for so long, I hope she still knows what’s right. God forbid Billy Boy spoon fed Haslam somehow weasels into this seat
