Promise made, promise broken. Once again, Senate Republican leadership has demonstrated that its promises are meaningless. Todays announcement that Republican Senators will quit before voting on a plan to repeal even SOME portions of ObamaCare is just the latest in a string of failures. When ObamaCare was enacted in 2010, Republicans on both sides of Capitol Hill vowed to repeal every word of President Obamas government takeover of our healthcare system. It became their rallying cry in election cycle after election cycle. When the American people gave Republicans the House majority after winning the 2010 midterms on the promise of ObamaCare repeal, the people were told We cant do it with just the House, we need a majority in the Senate to get the job done. In 2014, Republicans running for Senate repeated those promises, and were handed a Senate majority. Then they proceeded to tell the American people, We cant do it with just the Congress, we need the White House, too. In 2016, the American people did their part yet again, and delivered Republicans the White House. Now, with total control of the executive and legislative branches, the Republican Senate majority cannot even pass a bill that only repeals a portion of ObamaCare. The American people have a simple message for promise-breaking politicians: If you cant keep your word, we will find someone else who will.

P.S. Oh yeah. Add racis’ to the list.
The only difference between Rs and Ds is what lies they tell to get power over you and cash from your wallet.
Tagline.
Lucky for us there now working on tax refo.......... Oh. Never mind. Another loser thanks to our “representatives” most likely. So I suppose the choice is, do we keep the republicrats that won’t work with Trump or put in dementocrats that won’t work with Trump. I hear the toilet bowl filling up again.
Tax reform is really important and the Republicans are all behind it, but that damn calendar is really getting short. This one might need to be moved until after the election. (lowering expectations again)
2008 We can’t do anything because we are a minority in the House, face a fillibuster-proof majority in the Senate, and have lost the White House.
2009 We can’t do anything because we are a minority in the House, and are still the minority in the Senate, and do not hold the White House.
2010 We can’t do anything because even though we have a majority in the House, we still are in the minority in the Senate, and still do not hold the White House.
2012 We can’t do anything because even though we have a majority in the House and Senate, we lost the White House.
2014 We can’t do anything because even though we have extended our lead in both the House and the Senate, we still do not hold the White House.
2016 We can’t do anything because even though we hold the House, the Senate and the White House, we do not have a fillibuster-proof majority in the Senate.
2018 We can’t do anything because even though we hold the House, a fillibuster-proof majority in the Senate and the White House, we just don’t want to.
Eight republican Rhino voted against the straight up repeal.....primary the bastards!!!!
Does anyone really believe the GOP will produce meaningful tax reform?
Dorkbama care reform: fail.
IRS prosecution: fail.
Cleaning the swamp: fail.
Give me a break.
There are quite a few of the GOPee who like deficit spending and taxing the kr@p out of you....
Business is great for the GOPe. Washington DC has six of the ten richest counties in the US.
That would make a great tagline
No worries, trump, Pelosi n shumer.. they got this! A blank check til December when there will be endless parades of grandma who can’t buy Christmas gifts for their kids. Mean Scrooge conservatives.
Funny how the left loves Christmas when there is another big pot of taxpayer money on the line.
It’s obvious that voting doesn’t matter.. we have no Wall, Obamacare or some big insurance company bailout.. amnesty for dreamer like the Sudanese church attendee murderer. And a trillion dollars in stimulus for a union bailout.
Well at least one of us is optimistic. ;-)
Does the size and scope of government ever decrease during Republican control? Nope, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Just like when Democrats are in control.
Does anyone really believe the GOP will produce meaningful tax reform?

That’s what they will call it, if they can pass it. Even then it will be a watered down version of what is really needed to stimulate the economy.
The GOP side of the senate is a train wreck.
Won't do a damn bit of good. The ballot box is broken. We piss & moan about the traitors on the Right, and then like idiots, we go back and vote for them. This isn't their fault, it's ours.
No. Their big donors like the system the way it is - they can afford the attorneys and lobbyists needed to manipulate it in their favor, and it effectively locks their smaller competitors out of marketplace power.
I don’t agree with that. Here is the real difference between Democrats and Republicans. Most Democrats genuinely and even fervently believe in the Leftist agenda. They are eager to advance it, and when given the chance they don’t split into factions so as to kill/deny the Leftist legislation. They vote in a block.
Republicans don’t believe in conservatism. They believed in Obama. Anything and everything he asked for he got—sometimes even more than he asked for. There’s a quote from McConnell about how excited and even ecstatic he was to fulfill Obama’s legislative goals. He sounds like a gushing schoolgirl.
But McConnell is hardly alone. When did the so-called conservatives ever band together and demand Ryan and McConnell stop complying with Obama’s every whim? When did they vociferously protest his unconstitutional lack of a budget (Rand Paul, anyone?) and unconstitutional use of CRs??? Obama got away with that for eight years, with nary a peep from the vaunted ‘conservatives.’
Our great ‘conservatives’ only remember the Constitution when there’s an effort afoot to rollback any of Obama’s agenda. Otherwise, they are the swamp.
