If I had a kid these days, I’d make them learn and practice a trade for a while, before/instead of University. Even if they went on to college, at least they’d have gained some protective, real-life common sense, against all the silliness and brainwashing. I can’t imagine what returning Vets go through on these campuses.
That’s what I’m doing with my grandson....he got 2 years Assoc Degree...and I discouraged him from going on to University. He’s currently working construction (his Dad, my son, is the Operations Manager at this company)...learning about hard work, along with a lot of Mexicans, by the way. I’m proud he is working...can’t say that about a couple of his half-siblings.
And, PS....the majority of his education would be paid for (his great, great, great Uncle left him some dollars, in MY control.)
