The NFLs top corporate sponsors havent expressed any concern about the unprecedented wave of player national anthem protests this weekend, a league spokesman said Monday.
NFL players engaged in widespread demonstrations on Sunday, hours after President Donald Trump called on the leagues owners to fire son of a [expletive] who kneel during the pregame national anthem. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the vast majority of the leagues 32 owners issued statements in solidarity with players and condemned Trump for engaging in divisive rhetoric.
We talk to our sponsors all the time, whether its raining or the sun is out. Weve talked to them, we keep them informed. I havent heard of a single issue of a sponsor that is worried or has raised particular issue about the weekend, NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart told reporters during a conference call Monday.
So far there's just been scattered reports all these areas are down. Proper data analysis would show the real trends.
you know who could buy all the gear up as far as we know..
NFL may get a spike in ratings in the short term with all the anti-trump people now watching to get the ratings up...
this is going to be a long war..not a short battle
I see what you did there...
#NeverVISAYesDebitBankAccount
A separate debit account & card from my bank,
will save merchants 2% by avoiding Visa plastic card.
Thanks, but No thanks VISA!
He has experience defending the indefensible.
Did they ever start?
These idiots are too busy listening to celebrities and social media and forget who has the real buying power.
Were pretty sure theres some sort of Rule about political acts while in uniform. While representing the City of Chicago, Department of Police, you have no political affiliation, are not permitted to comment on just about anything unless duly authorized by the Superintendent of Police and certainly cannot protest in a police station of all places.
Chicago?
PBBBBLT!”
You will never see that on any news media, but last year this was a big story:

I know Leftist arrogance when I see it and the NFL has it in spades. Starve the NFL. Besiege them!
Attention NFL dumbasses, Google: "Target stores, revenue drop."
My brother and I used to be big Seahawk fans. He passed away nine years ago and football just hasn’t been the same for me since he’s been gone. I rarely watch a game anymore. Especially since it’s gotten to be more like the WWF.
Never believe a rumor until it is officially denied I think Otto VanBismark said
NOT VISA, YES SEPARATE DEBIT BANK ACCT
Do not close your Visa card. Just do not use it. Costs them more.
Open a separate Debit account with a small balance you control. Merchants will love saving 2% using debit card.
Management says “we’ve spoken to our sponsors and they are not concerned”? What did you expect them to say....”we spoke to our sponsors; they are concerned, but we’ve chosen not to listen”? Plus why should we believe that? Say you are a retailer (like Target for instance) and you have a problem with your stance on a social issue (like say Target has), so you trot out your spokesman and say “we’ve discussed with our employees and stockholders, and they say go for it”. I don’t think so. If you really want to know the extent of the damage, you ask your customers. In the case of Target, it was immediately evident in sales. In the case of the NFL, it was immediately evident in viewer count, regardless of what the Commissioner says.
Without your brother, run a Craigslist ad seeking to join or start a Texas holdem poker game, chips but no money betting. Restrict membership.
Products I use: Campbell’s soup...can change...Microsoft...difficult but might not buy any new products from them...Quaker....also changeable.
My sincere condolences, FRiend.
What you wrote is especially poignant to me on this day, as it’s my little brother’s birthday.
He was taken from us by cancer 14 yrs ago at the much too young age of 44.
May they both RIP . . .
