The NFLs top corporate sponsors havent expressed any concern about the unprecedented wave of player national anthem protests this weekend, a league spokesman said Monday.
NFL players engaged in widespread demonstrations on Sunday, hours after President Donald Trump called on the leagues owners to fire son of a [expletive] who kneel during the pregame national anthem. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the vast majority of the leagues 32 owners issued statements in solidarity with players and condemned Trump for engaging in divisive rhetoric.
We talk to our sponsors all the time, whether its raining or the sun is out. Weve talked to them, we keep them informed. I havent heard of a single issue of a sponsor that is worried or has raised particular issue about the weekend, NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart told reporters during a conference call Monday.
Proof they NFL is lying. They ARE getting massive fire from advertisers, they're trying to break the boycott and con people into thinking it's not working. By Sunday, turn completely around and do what is right. If not, it's obvious you're going to try and lie your way through this. It won't work.
The US military should be pulling all their ads from games. Every last one of them. No more money to the Flag hating NFL. Screw them to the wall. No fly overs from USAF or USN jets, no honor guards or anything else.
Whether or not it ends up in college football if the NFL goes TU I think there will be a huge change at the college level. They are the free farm teams for the NFL and if there is nothing to further a career after college how many inner city thugs will go to college knowing they don't have a shot at the millions of dollars at the pro level?
I doubt the thugs would go if they had to actually study and get a real job after.
Kind of a reverse “trickle down,” ain’t it?
I suggest we single out Anheuser Busch. Budweiser. “take a knee beer”
Sorts sites are claiming viewership is actually up... Did anyone see evidence to support or deny this claim? It’s quite disheartening.
Thanks for your kind words. I suppose my bro was lucky - died in his sleep of a heart attack at age 59. My Dad lost his battle with cancer at 43, in 1965.
May they all rest in peace.

Last but certainly not least dont forget to tell the NFL themselves that you are boycotting them and dont forget to mention that you are contacting advertisers and sponsors to tell them youre boycotting their products and services until they sever ties with the NFL! http://www.nfl.com/contact-us;
Yes, THEY BETTER BE! Money talks. Lack of money, sponsors walk.
The desperate attempt to push the DNC's and BLM's narrative that the protests are of President Trump's statement, rather than more of the same BS that the overpaid racists have been pushing for more than a year, isn't working. My guess is, this piece of PR is a classic example of whistling past the graveyard, a.k.a. the delusion of reprieve. I've seen and heard nothing in support of it anywhere in the Grand Rapids area, and I don't hang around the upper crust, I can tell you that. Thanks janetjanet998.
Desk jockeys. Nothing more than affirmative action employees that have likely never worked the streets. We had our fair share of them.
The networks pay roughly 3.5 billion a year from advertising revenue to the NFL, and it gets dispersed out to the teams. If the networks lose one-third of the viewers (now likely)...the check will shrink to 2.5 billion...that has to be shared out between NFL management and the 32 teams.
No one talks over the fan paraphernalia (jackets, hats, etc)...but the more popular teams probably make several hundred million a year. Toss in direct-TV arrangements, stadium deals with the beer and hamburger crowd, and stadium tickets....it’s a hefty amount of money prior to 2017.
My guess is that an emergency meeting will occur by mid-November to discuss the lesser attendance and dramatic fall in viewership on TV. The fan paraphernalia expert for the NFL will spell out the issue of Christmas season and a big drop in sales.
I would go and speculate that expenditures will be discussed and clubs will go to lesser contracts already in the spring of 2018. That deal with union and NFL on 55-percent of media profits going to the players? When the union announces a one-third drop in money off that deal...players, retired players, and agents are all going to ask what’s going on? Disbelief? People actually stopped watching NFL action and declined to buy the stupid $400 leather jackets made in China? Oh my.
I think you’ve got the right idea - taunt them into doing more may be the right response.
And not just about making more sacrifices that involve money, but also by putting themselves out there even more!
After all, taking a knee - that’s supposed to be some kind of protest? Hey you pansies, if you really want to be making a statement during the anthem, rather than silently kneeling, you should get up and start chanting things like “Not My President” or “No Trump No KKK No Racist USA ... or even better “Pigs in a Blanket Fry Them Like Bacon”.
To paraphrase Crocodile Dundee “Protest”? “That’s (kneeling) not a protest”. “Now that (BLM-style chants), that’s a protest”.
And if they take the bait and do that, let’s see if the lefties in management, politics or the media still support you? After all, y’all have the “right” to protest, don’t you? So some lefty please explain to me why something like that should be any different.
So go ahead you NFL freakazoids, I dare you to grow a pair and show us some real protesting during the anthem!
They’re downsizing and now it’s pony piss. ;)
They sell the NFL as entertainment. Watching over-paid snowflakes “taking a knee” for whatever it is that chafes them, is not entertainment. At least not to me, and hopefully not to you. Cut the cord!
And notice, the LibProgs do not simply kneel. They are always “taking” — taking our liberties, taking our income, taking a knee.
Let’s take the NFL to task!
Yes, not only is white a color, it is the mixture of ALL visible spectrum. Black is the absence of color.
I say: “If they take a knee, give’em the FINGER!!”
