Good Afternoon, SORRY to be LATE. Had a walk in medical emergency today.

I fully expected this. I'm not really a Patriots fan, but I am a Boston Red Sox and Bruins fan. Red Sox and Bruins fans DO NOT take this "taking a knee / hiding out in the locker room during our National Anthem" thing lightly. Yes, we are up here in the liberal northeast, but there are a lot of true Patriots still left in New England. Sadly, we are outnumbered by libs.
Anyway, I think MLB and NHL fans overall tend to be fairly conservative, or at least patriots who respect our country and our flag.
BTW, I'm NOT a Celtics fan either. The NBA has been dead to my husband and me for well over 20 years.
Geez, YES, I know that, and I said several times on this thread (and on the Sept. 21 Rush thread) that the NFL situation IS a valid news story that Rush *should* be talking about it.
And... I've been contributing many NFL-related links on this thread as well.
It has been a long time since he presented a fourth hour for subscribers.
Just in case I get criticized again on this thread, I will say it again: Yes, the NFL/taking a knee story is definitely a valid news story, and I fully expect Rush to talk about it.
However... I really hope Rush doesn't stretch this NFL discussion to a full two weeks like he did a few years ago with the Tom Brady / FootballGate story. That was inexcusable. Rush almost lost me over that garbage.
Yes, same here! :-)
No kidding!
Aaaaaaaaand....now the 30-minute “Simply Safe” infomercial begins [or the sheets or the whatever]. sigh
It was a one-note samba today! LOL!
I am a big fan of both Boston and UCONN, win, lose or draw.
That’s good. Rush is more thoroughly articulating how the average football fan is made to feel by this nonsense. They’ll end up feeling like they have to pick a side and it likely won’t be football. It’s become too much.
I pay very little attention to NFL as a baseball person, but Trump’s move on this has been amazing. We’ll see how it all unfolds.
The other story is Trump expanding his travel ban, which is going completely under-the-radar thanks to the NFL.
4D chess.
The story of the Sudanese immigrant doing a mass shooting in a TN church also got buried by football. It would have made a strong case in favor of travel bans and strong vetting.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
FReegards!
LOTS of stories being buried by NFL KneelGate (or whatever you want to call it): North Korea, the Tennessee church shooting by the Sudanese perp, Anthony Weiner’s 21-month prison sentence, the collapse of Graham-Cassidy, the massive cleanup in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands after Hurricane Maria...
I meant to say "DeflateGate" above, not FootballGate. I was SO damn sick of that stupid Tom Brady saga that I've completely put it out of my mind... I forgot the 'official' name, lol.
Yeah, it's getting to the point that the last 40 minutes or so of Rush's show is nearly 95% commercials. Either voiced live by Rush or the pre-recorded ones. It wasn't that long ago when it was just maybe the last 10 minutes or so of his show was packed with commercials.
Unfortunately, all of the conservative talk radio shows I listen to are just as bad, or even worse. It's highly annoying.
So how long will it be before he’s back in someone’s luxury box watching a game?
Has he been in any lately?
I don’t listen frequently any more, but it’s not been unusual that he talks about it during the season.
