I think her sentence was about 15 months and she got the standard discount for good behavior, reducing her actual time to a little over a year. The longer the series runs, the longer her “sentence” goes.
Drug dealing and money laundering in the course thereof are definitely not victimless, but Piper Kerman, author of “Orange is the New Black”, received treatment very similar to what Weiner is getting. Neither’s crime was victimless.
