Louie Gohmert: Arizona should recall John McCain during cancer treatment
The Washington Examiner ^ | September 25, 2017 | Anna Giaritelli

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., should be recalled because his cancer treatment may be hurting his ability to do his job in Congress.

"You know, nothing inhibits recovery from cancer like stress. I think Arizona could help him and us. Recall him. Let him, you know, fight successfully this terrible cancer. And let's get somebody in here that will keep the word he gave last year," Gohmert said on "Fox and Friends" Monday.

Not to be a fly in the ointment but getting recalled would be pretty damned stressful. Also, the US Senate is probably the most stress free place to work in the country besides that, I mean, where else is doing nothing the norm?

So look for another reason....

Gohmert, of all people, should know that Congressmen and Senators can’t be recalled.

C'mon. Haven't you ever watched Perry Mason?

Perry Mason: So, why did you plant the body in the room?

Hamilton Burger: I object! Counselor should no that is an improper line of questioning!

Judge: Objection sustained.

Perry Mason (smirking): I withdraw the question.

The idea of doing this is to set certain ideas in motion. Whether it the witness's moving of the body or the unfitness of McCain to serve in the Senate, something has to kickstart the conversation. Trump uses this tactic frequently. It works.

Patriots are reminded that probably the only reason that citizens are concerned about bad-apple, post-17th Amendment ratification Senators like McCain is because most federal domestic policy is based on state powers that the feds have stolen from the states imo.

Congress not only uses stolen state powers to oppress the states and their citizens, but lets federal officials outside the legislative branch get away with doing so.

Patriots need to pink-slip as many members of Congress that they can in the 2018 elections and replace them with state sovereignty-respecting patriots who will support Pres. Trump’s vision for MAGA.

I think the term they used in the movie “The Judge” (Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall) was he was suffering from Chemo Brain...

Chemotherapy drugs can have an impact on behavior. Not to mention what the glioblastoma is doing to his brain. He should retire and focus on making the best of the time he has left.

That's his only claim to fame, being called a "maverick" by the MSM.

He's only a maverick because he goes against his own party so often.

McPain is the best exhibit for term limits there is.

The Senate is making the old USSR’s Politburo look like a bunch of vigorous, idealistic and enthusiastic young reformers.

There is no recall process for Congress. The only possible answer is for his colleagues to convince him to resign or call a vote to remove him. There is no 25th Amendment process for Congress and there should be one.

And what conversation is that? Why Gohmert hasn't read the Constitution?

There are *more* than five (wiki lists nine) Senators who are in their 80s, topped by Feinstein and Grassley. And something like another 20 in their 70s.

No, whether McCain is fit to serve as Senator. The idea is to take him down a peg. Sheese, I suppose you are going to accuse an attoney who purposefully raises a point that will be objected to of not knowing the law. It is called TACTICS.

“Oh, just wait for the old traitor to die (please soon, Lord). Then I hope Trump skips the funeral for a golf game.”

Hey John how does it feel to have milions of your fellow citizens praying for your demise?

Or ignorance. One of the two.
