Google trackers have been found on 75% of the top million websites. This means they are not only tracking what you search for, they're also tracking which websites you visit, and using all your data for ads that follow you around the internet. Your personal data can also be subpoenaed by lawyers, including for civil cases like divorce. Google answered over 100,000 such data requests in 2016 alone!

If they are following me around they should know I don’t buy anything they advertise.
So, maybe they could stop wasting both our time and knock off all those annoying ads / pop ups / spam?
How important is it to get the answer to something youre idly curious about?
By now they might have figured out that my ad nausium ap spams their advertisers...
They keep trying to sell me bikinis and lingerie. Not going to buy them but do enjoy the ads.

This is the long tail of the internet. Its pretty hard to stop. You point your web browser somewhere a log entry is made a cookie is generated (probably several and then a serverside cookie too). Its very sticky this web
