Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin indicated Sunday night that he did not want offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva to stand for the national anthem, instead of sitting it out with the rest of his teammates.
Villanueva, a former Army Ranger who served three tours in Afghanistan, was the only Steelers player to stand for the anthem. While Villanueva stood in the tunnel, hand over his heart, the rest of the team remained in the locker room in protest of President Trumps comments that players who kneel during the national anthem should be fired. WATCH:
Tomlin said in a post-game press conference that he was looking for 100 percent participation in whatever course of action the team took during the national anthem.
When asked by a reporter about Villanueva coming out for the anthem, Tomlin said, Like I said, I was looking for 100 percent participation, we were gonna be respectful of our football team.
Villaneuva played in college at West Point Military Academy before going on to become an Army Ranger. He served three tours in Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014, before later joining the Steelers.
There is a lot of hate these days coming from the Left and the likes of the kneelers.
So a player taking a knee is fine for the leftists in charge, but a player saluting the flag is divisive in the left wing world of the NFL.

But Coach Tomlin, what about free speech? Specifically Villanueva's free speech?
Is Sessions coma irreversible at this point?
If that happens I hope that Jerry Jones comes through and gives him a contract.
Thanks! I’ll never buy one again and I live fairly close to Gillette Stadium’s shop and the shirts made good gifts.
That’s it for me.
.
Revenue distribution to players equally.

OOPS...GOD Bless this patriotic vet!!!
Listen writer. That's the United States Military Academy, which happens to be located at West Point.
Everyone should take a couple of minutes and listen to the reaction of the national anthem at the 1991 National Hockey League All-Star Game played in Chicago. This was done while troops were serving overseas in the Persian Gulf. Check out the signs. More evidence that the presidency of Bill Clinton destroyed a large part of our culture. Listen here:

Good photo - he’s big enough to go bear huntin’ with a switch.
I’m getting one tomorrow! !!
“Tomlin should be fired.”
****
Won’t happen. The Rooney offspring are leftist douchebags who supported Obama (one bought an ambassadorship from him), and created the NFL racist “Rooney Rule” that requires coaching job interviewees be selected based upon skin color.
You buy his jersey every player gets equal share after nfl takes its cut.
Thanks-—I just got another answer that said just the NFL———I am still confused.
.
Of course Tomlin did not advocate for 100% participation for standing to the National Anthem.
Thanks——I thought that you meant just the NFL.
.
First off, THE NFL IS THE ENENY. From the cuck commissioner on down.
Secondly, the scum of the scummiest franchise is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Remember when their owner, Dani Rooney, had to wipe Obama’s protein off of his face, ‘cause he was named ambassador to Ireland?
So Coach Erkel Epps, like the commissioner and his owner, is garbage.
No surprise to see honestly.
The coachdoes understand that as a commissioned officer the player is under .ilitary jurisdiction until he is 60 years old anc could be stripped of his hard earned rank for pull a disreprectful stunt like kaepernicking 5th
