Why is it okay to disrespect the American flag, okay to wear a t-shirt praising communist butcher Fidel Castro, okay to depict cops as pigs, but not okay to wear a Christian t-shirt?
Everyone is weighing in in the disrespectful NFL flag-sitters, so I might as well. Here are several points that make the case that NFL owners and the commissioner are utter hypocrites for allowing players to disrespect the American flag:
1) The NFL is a private company it is not the federal government. Every private company has codes of conduct.
2) The NFL forced RGIII (Robert Griffin III) to turn his Know Jesus, Know Peace t-shirt inside out because according to NFL management it violated their code of conduct in regards to apparel.

“Washington Redskins’ quarterback Robert Griffin III,.. entered the room for a post-game press conference wearing a T-shirt that said “[K]No[w] Jesus, [K]No[w] Peace” but turned it inside-out before speaking to reporters.”
“NFL Uniform Inspector Tony McGee (former Skins DE) approached Griffin...McGee told Griffin he couldn’t wear the shirt..”

Is this “Code of Conduct” in print anywhere?
“Colin Kaepernick wore socks with pig cops”

Because of so many misleading articles from news sites, many are unaware of what they’re really protesting against: part of the third stanza of our National Anthem. They say that it’s racist, and they’ve been making an issue of it for some time.
“No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:”
It speaks of mercenaries hired by the British to fight our forefathers.
The mercenaries were the "hirelings" and the "slaves" were the conscripted British troops.

I’ve never been to a sporting event where three stanzas were played. If they have a problem with hirelings, then they need to quit their jobs now.
If the league really believes that America is oppressive, they need to change their logo. Make it something a little Communistic, let's say.
Just read the public statements that have been released by the NFL and various team owners over the last 36 hours. They all have some variation of a message highlighting their focus on "unity" with these silly protests. But when you look at any photo of an NFL sideline before a game today you'll see factions of players standing alone, kneeling, or standing with locked arms during the national anthem.
In the case of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you'll see four coaches standing respectfully on the sideline while a single player (U.S. Military Academy graduate and Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva) stands respectfully at the mouth of the tunnel from the locker rooms onto the field.
This is UNITY?
You'll find more unity in the recreation yard at a state penitentiary.

Good point.
Red, white, and blue; with stars. Based on the American flag.
Notice who the comments with twisted logic lies are coming from. Are you surprised?

“We recognize our players’ influence. We respect their demonstration and support them 100 percent. All voices need to be heard. That’s democracy in its highest form.” —Owner Steve Bisciotti
For decades, many people in high places have been expressing hatred against members of our military forces, traditional family values and our democracy, when they’re ranting at working class men who are cheated by them in jobs, courts and other places. They conceal those sentiments when speaking to other wealthy people or to the general public.
You mean this player?
Pat Tillman memorial as well but they backed down on that one.
The NFL is also a monopoly supported and protected by federally funded state and local governments.
Totally boycott the NFL and all their sponsors.
Let their sponsors know why they’re being boycotted.
This is BS. These thug POSs make millions and disrespect our flag and nation?
They all need to be fired and go to a country more in line with their beliefs....the sooner, the better.
“They all have some variation of a message highlighting their focus on “unity” with these silly protests.”
Yea, sure, unity!
They are ripping their own teams apart!
God Bless Antonio Villanueva..served THREE tours of duty in Afghanistan..now THAT is an American HERO
YES!
And his frigging teammates are dissing him!
Antonio Villanueva teammates are disrespecting him!
What a bunch of frigging snowflakes. Hiding and cowering in the tunnels; the only one with balls in the whole group is Antonio Villanueva.
Antonio Villanueva has ball-less tranny snowflakes on his team!
He must really, really ashamed for all of them.
“They all have some variation of a message highlighting their focus on “unity” with these silly protests.”
Yea, unity!
Dissing 63M deplorable, bitter clingers can’t be good!
