NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Authorities in Tennessee say at least six people were injured in a shooting at a church in the Nashville area.
Nashville fire department spokesman Joseph Pleasant tells the Tennessean newspaper that at least six to eight people were hurt and were being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The nature of the injuries weren't immediately known.
A dispatcher quoted by the newspaper said that the scene was still "active" at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ as of 11:40 a.m. Sunday.

The story I read is that an unarmed usher confronted the gunman and pistol whipped him. In the struggle, the gunman shot himself, but not critically. The usher then ran to his vehicle and got his pistol and disarmed the gunman and held him at gunpoint until the police arrived.
From what I’ve seen, they are mostly white but have minority members who are welcomed openly.
This not far from my church. It is a small country church tucked out of the way in the extreme southeast part of Davidson County.

I apologize profusely if I am feeding untrue information, but second hand sources indicate that the shooter may have shot himself. Also, some are saying that there is no known relationship between the shooter and the congregation, so ignore my previous comment. Also, one report (perhaps untrue) is that the shooter may have been wearing a mask and was driving a vehicle from Rutherford County. I wish I had something more definite or could confirm even these, but that’s all that I have, which may or may not be true.

That guy is super narcissistic, but he has a lot of physical strength from being a body builder. The story says he pistol whipped someone, who managed to walk away from that, grab a gun, and disarm the guy.

Murfreesboro is not that big of a city and Emanuel Kidega Samson is not a common name. Stories say he accidentally shot himself during the struggle (chest or leg, stories differ), greatly disabling him.
Hopefully the police will order Facebook to freeze his page.
