What does this say about the quality of German engineering if her people are so stupid?

She got her butt kicked. So did her Socialist coalition partners in the SPD. Key point from the article:

Those numbers mean that the SPD, led by Martin Schulz, has fallen to a new post-World War Two low.

The party's deputy leader, Manuela Schwesig, said the result was a heavy defeat that meant the party would go into opposition, putting an end to the current coalition with Mrs Merkel.

She won't be able to count on the Socialists for a coalition. She won't have a coalition with Afd. Therefore she has to scrape together a coalition from what is left.

Mrs Merkel will now have to search for new coalition partners - a process that could take months.

Before martial law was implemented, I read a story where a reporter asked a Polish army officer what they would do if Poland were invaded by East Germany and the Soviet Union.

He said, "Attack the East Germans."

The reporter asked, "Why?"

The officer replied, "Business before pleasure."

Both CDU and SPD lost votes because of being in a grand coalition together. Therefor they were unable to do battle to win votes. SPD because of this has now said they will not enter another grand coalition.

CDU said they will never join with AfD.

That leaves the Libertarians and the Greens. Called the Jamaica coalition. Which is my preferred, coalition wise.

Who doesn’t want cleaner air and water? It’s a matter of balance.

About time we took control of environment politics instead of conceding it to the Left. At least in Germany.

FDP is Germany's Libertarians? OK, but if your Greens are like our Greens they will want methane filters on cow butts.

If you add the CDU (right of center) and SPD (left of center)....their numbers are around 53.5 percent. Lowest for the combined parties since 1945. If you go back to the 1960s and 1970s....they usually got between 75 and 85 percent.

Which is why I said it is about time to take control of green politics. This is a beginning.

The FDP adheres to a classical liberal ideology,[16][17][18][32] advocating liberalism in both the economic sphere and social sphere.

The big news here is the AFD, or anti-invasion party. At 13.5 % they suddenly become a player. Now, to really be a contender, they need a broader platform.

Like invading Poland? Reoccupying the Ruhr?

BREAKING NEWS: Angela Merkel is punished at the ballot box as far-right party enters parliament for the first time - but her party wins the largest share of votes

Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union party won most votes, exit polls say
Merkel came away with 32.5 per cent of ballots - slightly worse than expected
Far-right Alternative For Germany party won 13.5 per cent support and will enter the German parliament for the first time
Merkel’s coalition partner, the SPD, polled at historic low and said they will go into opposition, rather than serve in new government
Chancellor was punished for decision to let in millions of overseas migrants

As the exit polls emerged leaders of the SPD announced plans to go into opposition, complicating things for Merkel as the party served as her junior coalition partners in the last government.

She will now have to look to other parties to form a new government coalition.

The party’s leader Martin Schulz told supporters: ‘Today is a difficult and bitter day for social democracy in Germany.

‘Particularly pressing for us tonight is the strength of the AfD party. For the first time, with them, there will be a far-right party in the German Bundestag.

‘The acceptance of one million migrants it was almost guaranteed to divide our country and it has divided us too much.’

“Like invading Poland? Reoccupying the Ruhr? “

I didn’t want to say anti-Muslim, ‘cause that’s so Islamophobic. /s By broader platform, I meant the other issues that Germans are concerned about. For example, retirement age, retirement pay, and how “green” things are. Also, there’s wer’reallgonnadie hysteria about diesel cars, which probably affects 40% of Germany’s cars. It’s a huge issue with cities fighting to ban them entirely.

Germany needs real leadership, which it hasn’t seen in decades.

That’s unfortunate. The Germans have endorsed her bringing of millions of muzzies into Germany, and have shown they want more. Bring them in! let them rape the women and slice the mens’ necks. The German people have spoken.

“How many terms has Merkel won the election?

Four, that’s historic”

Even Adolph Hitler only lasted 12 years.
