President Trump turned on the NFL commissioner this evening, after Roger Goodell spoke out about the president condemning players who kneel in protest during the national anthem and calling on team owners to fire those players.
In a tweet, Trump said Goodell is "trying to justify the total disrespect certain players show to our country."

>>I read a couple hundred comments on Yahoo News. 100% supported Trump.<<
Nice to know. Thanks.
>> smearing our entire country as racist, now suddenly discover that they are all in favor of unity blah blah blah.<<
Great point!
Well there are 32 failed owners propping up the anti-American, incompetent Roger Goodell. These 32 owners who can FIRE Goodell any time they wish are happy with him flushing the NFL down the toilet and would rather placate a few hundred racist, anti-American Black players and at the same time piss off tens of millions of patriotic white fans (many soon to be former fans) whose $$$ keeps the league financially solvent.
Should be an ejection from the game 1st offence. 2nd offence player plus head coach ejected. Multi-game suspension for offending player and for head coach on further sideline National Anthem protests.
Roger “Incompetent” Goodell could have ended this last year by adopting the NBA National Anthem rules for the NFL. Stand respectfully for the National Anthem or sit in the locker room, away from cameras and fans.
May well be the last time he gets to take a knee as he is just a minor league catcher call up.
A professional whatever, leaves the politics at home.
NFL players are highly paid professionals...well, highly paid anyway.
For the bucks they get, one would expect them to leave their politics at home.
I’m a professional, in the office others have other view points...to not turn off staff and customers, I refrain from shoving my politics in people’s faces. ]
The overpaid NFL players are paid to play football, not shove their politics in fan faces.
Not a football fan and not a dog fan...am neutral...but just as a dog owner lets their dog cr*p in the driveway or sidewalk...turning my neutral attitude negative, so too the kneeling NFL players turn my attitude from neutral to “hope you all go bankrupt”.
Ditto
Thanks Enchante.
Next comes “you can’t be an NFL fan (any sportsball) unless you think correctly on social issues”.
Can you imagine scrawny-ass, who’ve never experienced a punch in the face or getting de-cleated on a football field suddenly deciding he’d better “support our minority brothers’ cause”.
HaHaha. 6 games in they’d be wanting rule changes.
That picture looks like there were maybe 1,000 people there - if that. With $14 tickets. Yikes!
I think its way more than half. Much of the liberal half only pretends to be "down with the struggle." What they say behind the scenes is much different.
America. Love it or leave it. Especially spoiled athletes.
NFL might as well be put on suicide watch - gonna complete its own destruction by the end of the year.
I completely agree with you and have witnessed it first hand myself. Most of them remain clueless, but they can still have a moment of clarity every now and then. It usually revolves around Muslims in my experience.
A business owner once sat all his employees down and asked them why they worked there. After many accolades about the customers, company, and products, he ask “how many would continue working without pay”?
When there was no response, he said “now we all know why we’re here, let’s work to make it profitable”.
obama is grinning from ear to ear right now. This is one of the many destructive and intentional bi-products of his presidency.
Personal boycott already underway. Haven’t watched a game in decades, except for ten minutes that I saw with my son. I couldn’t believe how sissified it’s become. The referees were more in motion than the players. Boooring.
What Goodell needs is a good wedgy.
