North Korea said on Saturday that firing its rockets at the U.S. mainland was "inevitable" after U.S. President Donald Trump called Pyongyang's leader "rocket man," in a further escalation of rhetoric between the two leaders.
North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho's remarks before the United Nations General Assembly came hours after U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers escorted by fighter jets flew in international airspace over waters east of North Korea, in a show of force the Pentagon said demonstrated the range of military options available to Trump.
"Through such a prolonged and arduous struggle, now we are finally only a few steps away from the final gate of completion of the state nuclear force," Ri told the annual gathering of world leaders.
"It is only a forlorn hope to consider any chance that the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) would be shaken an inch or change its stance due to the harsher sanctions by the hostile forces," he said.....

Just so they go OVER Hawaii ... that damned KIM better not ruin my once in a lifetime vacation there this spring.
I am referring to President Trump calling a megliomaniac with an H bomb names. If you find that cute, then you need to check yourself.
You’re right.
I’ll have to check out World War Z.
The Israeli raid on Entebe to rescue the hostages was quite a feat, too.
Ho you Ho.
“we have bases all up and down the west coast.”
Sure. We have lots of strategic spots that could be a target. How many nuclear bombs do you think North Korea could hit us with? And how much area, and how many lives would be impacted?
I think an EMP attack would be the most destructive, but we will recover even from that. It has not been tried before, so it might not be as devastating as some experts expect.
Japan and South Korea are in much more peril than we are. I think our risk is extremely small. But, even so, we can not allow a ruthless dictator to blackmail us into lowering our weapons while he continues to threaten us and our allies.
Sanctions have not worked against North Korea. We can not continue to allow Rocket Boy to build up a more powerful arsenal of long range missiles and smaller, more powerful nukes. It’s time to take his regime down regardless of the outcome. Waiting will only make the inevitable worse.
so what are the generals thinking? Do you think Kelly knew this would be the reaction to “rocket man”?
We really need a preemptive strike against them, since they don’t want to understand reality.
“But I honestly believe that we can get the job done without going nuclear.”
I agree. But we can totally annihilate them.
Yes. Does Fat Kim have really have something powerful, or is he only barking like a cat? One would think that if he has something, he would have used it by now.
;-)
We don’t want a war w China and they don’t want a war with us. They are making a lot of money from all the things the US manufactures in China, then imports.
Don’t know. And John Kelly may or may not be a good chief of staff, but he would never make it as a press secretary.
“Does Fat Kim have really have something powerful, or is he only barking like a cat?”
He does, but he wants to use his ICBMs and nukes to blackmail the free world into tolerating and supporting his fat lifestyle (while starving his people to death).
His megalomania is about to get the best of him. I think he never expected anyone to call his bluff, and he really does not want to die. But if he does not back down, his soon demise is 100% certain. And he knows it.
And to explain that their response also makes the total destruction of North Korea inevitable...
They make a great product. Almost undetectable.
LOL Kelly as Press Sec. DuffleBlog material.
Dear morph,
re: “I am referring to President Trump calling a megliomaniac with an H bomb names. If you find that cute, then you need to check yourself.”
I am a GI Brat who has been threatened by an idiot in Cuba, many years ago.
All this little short-d*ck fool has to do is launch a SAM at one of our aircraft, and it’s over, and he knows it.
