In general, lawful Islamist movements such as the Muslim Brotherhood (work to insert themselves) into Western society, exploiting liberal, democratic bodies to promote their own (illiberal and anti-democratic ideology.)
Whether co-opting Western democracies to silence its critics, or funding American Islamist organizations with long histories of extremism and ties to terror, the Turkish regime is now a crucial component of the global Islamist threat.
For the past few years, the international Muslim Brotherhood has (found a welcoming home) in Ankara in the face of opposition from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. Consequently, U.S. Islamist organizations have also turned to the Turkish regime for collaboration and support.

This is a very telling article with many links to Muslims who aim to infiltrate civic boards to Congress and the Senate. Keith Ellison has gotten himself placed at the head of the "Democratic Party" as vice pres. and to quote "...is part of "a nefarious lot of Islamic extremists..." I don't doubt for one minute they are part of the terrorism seen in the protesters with their masks and weapons.....Ellison is the face of the Enemy Within!

I disagree.
Every elected official in this country with the exception of the president and vice president are elected with the majority of the popular vote. 535 members of congress and every one of them is there by winning the most votes in their state. Only the top 2 elected officials in this country use the electoral system.

Do a Bing search for “voting system”. Disagreeing does not change facts. P.S. i stopped using google quite some time ago oweing to incorrect results of searches.

Correct we are a republic and the constitution assures the federal government will ensure to each state a republican form of government:
Article 4 (section 4)
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”

If one understands what a “demacracy” is, we, that is our nation is not even close. So why use that word to discribe us, the US?
