Trump boxed in the globalists in his UN speech
American Thinker ^ | September 20,2017 | Thomas Lifson

It's safe to say that none of his many enemies among the global elites anticipated an intellectual challenge from Donald Trump. He doesn't look or talk or act the way they think an intellectual should. Yet somehow, he has placed them in a box.

In his U.N. debut, he challenged the intellectual basis of the world order they are working toward. He personally addressed many of the political leaders in the audience when he said:

…you, as the leaders of your countries will always, and should always, put your countries first.

At this point, he received what sounded to me like the most applause he got that day. Politico's transcript even notes the interruption for applause.

All responsible leaders have an obligation to serve their own citizens, and the nation-state remains the best vehicle for elevating the human condition.

Globalists are enemies of the nation-state. They much prefer a global scale and powerful multilateral bureaucracies running things. The E.U. is their prototype, specifically designed to weaken sovereignty for the common good, following the trauma inflicted by German nationalism in its National Socialist manifestation. In the E.U. right now, Hungary is supposed to subordinate its national interests to the greater good and take its share of the Muslims entering the E.U., a command it is defying.

This was the vision rejected by U.K. voters in the Brexit referendum. The globalist vision is fighting a defensive battle right now.

Here comes President Trump, enunciating the principle that "the nation-state remains the best vehicle for elevating the human condition" and putting it on the global agenda for discussion.

He opens up politicians to questions on whether they support the same principle. And who, in a democracy, wants to tell voters to their faces, "Sometimes, I vote against your interests"?

Most politicians are just grifters and looters.

There are very few statesmen. There are practically no real intellectuals running a national government.

But Trump is a very smart man who genuinely wants what is best for his country. This places him a few orders of magnitude above almost all other world leaders.

Aside from Netanyahu, I bet almost everyone in the room was shocked speechless. And scared.

A most fundamental right is the ability to vote with one’s feet. Globalists seek to take that right away from all of us and all of our children. They truly are a nasty bunch.

.............while watching Trumps speech I couldn’t help but think “what balls” to stand up and tell the whole world to kiss off.

With Trillions of dollars at stake here, Trump looks em all in the eye and tells them to GET F’d.

That’s Medal of Honor type bravery. I’m a pretty solid guy, always have been, but my knees would have been shaking on that stage. Trump is fearless.

Let’s look at the animal and plant kingdoms. Did the animal or plant evolve into one gigantic animal or plant? No. It evolved to billions of individual, self-governing plants and animals.

great speech. next years speech:
you the leaders of the UN have failed Venezuela as their people are still starving.
you the leaders of the UN have failed Mozambique as their people still suffer.
you the leaders of the UN have failed in the middle east as you still have provided no solution to the endless war there.

those of us who know will pray that god in his mercy liberates the good people of these places of corruption into their God given blessing of prosperity. not in my lifetime.

(muslime knucklehead in Australia sets fire to evil infidel bank, and himself) and what President Trump is trying to keep out.

I always find American Thinker to be good. Thank you for posting.

How much does it take to figure out a ‘globalist’ is simply out to make himself or themselves rich by investing in countries that work labororers cheap and profit gains are bigger for the globalist sending big profits their way.

I wonder how many of these guys are U.S. investors who talk it up about ‘oh, yeah, we have to pay the American worker better’ and then invest in countries that employ young kids to do work all day long.

And the power.

I shudder to imagine a world without nation states. There is no escaping a one-world government for those that object to its rule, short of revolution, acquiescence or death.
