Samuel Straface thought he was the last one out the door one recent evening at the medical-technology startup he leads in suburban Boston. But as he passed a glass-walled conference room on the second floor, Dr. Straface says he saw a man he didn't recognize, sitting by himself in front of two open laptops and a tablet device. He continued walking a few steps toward the exit, but then, feeling uneasy, he turned back.

He was there to discuss the business of the company after hours by himself?

There can be little doubt that *every* Chinese "diplomat",pretty much every Chinese businessman and many,if not most,Chinese "students" are spying for China...either intending to steal military,or commercial, secrets.
Some of them may be enthusiastic spies..."true believers" and some may be unwilling spies "Comrade, before you say "no" remember that we know where your grandmother lives".

Obviously it was an electronic meeting.

Stop allowing Chinese immigration and this crap will stop. If we continue to allow Chinese immigration, it will be impossible to stop industrial espionage.

He was just downloading the secret data that Americans wouldn't download.
Governor Dinwiddie. The spark to the fuse of the French and Indian War?

Wow, that takes brazenness and chutzpah to a whole new level. Sneak into a company, plop yourself down in a conference room near the CEO’s office, and use your laptop to try to steal trade secrets.
I wonder how he got in. They must have security badges. Of course, I’ve seen lots of fellow employees kindly let in the person behind them who just happened to have “left his badge at home.”

Thank goodness there are no enemy Chinese agents living here now, so your plan will work. Wrong! Stop immigration today and you still have thousands of people here still loyal to the commies in Beijing.
Besides, do you seriously think we can pass a 2017 version of the "Chinese Exclusion Act"? No way in hell.

In Silicon alley the saying is: 'Half the Chinese here are spying on us, the other half are spying on them'!

And if they are nationalized or their parents are nationalized I still go on the assumption they are spies.
It may not be perfectly fair but it is reality.

If convicted of both charges, he could face a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. That ought to be a minimum.
