President Donald Trump warned Tuesday that the United States will be forced to "totally destroy" North Korea unless Pyongyang backs down from its nuclear challenge, mocking North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.
Loud murmurs filled the green-marbled U.N. General Assembly hall when Trump issued his sternest warning yet to North Korea, whose ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests have rattled the globe.
Unless North Korea backs down, he said, "We will have no choice than to totally destroy North Korea."
"Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime," he said.
He urged United Nations member states to work together to isolate the Kim government until it ceases its "hostile" behavior.
A junior North Korean diplomat remained in the delegation's front-row seat for Trump's speech, the North Korean U.N. mission said.
Turning to Iran, Trump called the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated by his predecessor, Barack Obama, was an embarrassment and hinted that he may not recertify the agreement when it comes up for a mid-October deadline.
"I don't think you've heard the last of it," he said.
He called Iran an "economically depleted rogue state" that exports violence.
The speech marked his latest attempt to lay out his America First vision for a U.S. foreign policy aimed at downgrading global bureaucracies, basing alliances on shared interests, and steering Washington away from nation-building exercises abroad.

Just minutes after the president’s speech, Terry Moran (Moron) on ABC said that Trump’s threat to destroy North Korea “borders on a war crime.”

Awesome-winning.......what else can any REAL POTUS say than we will not be threatened by a budding nuclear power that says directly ‘we are going to reduce you to ashes’. We will stand for the US or we will perish.
When do we start rebuilding our military and updating our capabilities?

If President Trump offered complete surrender to North Korea, people on the left like Terry Moran would have spun it and claimed the President committed treason.
Once the left choose sides, it does not matter what President Trump does, they will oppose him and try to inflame opposition against him.
For you see, the left has no honor, only blood lust to win regardless of the cost, even if a few millions Americans must die. Any thing is fair to get another socialist into the white house.
We have to destroy NK in order to save it.

The Norks have done us no great harm in the recent past. Just a lot of bloviating (and counterfeiting and drug dealing and...).
The real folks at risk are the South Koreans and the Japanese. The Norks are shooting missiles over Japan and have shelled South Korean Islands and sunk one of their ships.
Shouldn’t we let them take the lead (and expense) of dealing with only fat guy in North Korea?
My face hurts from grinning so hard.
At least we don’t throw around empty threats about fire and fury every other week like Kim does.
