The Emmys are a Hollywood bubble show," Media Research Center vice president Dan Gainor told Fox News. "Actors and directors get to pretend they are important because they are doing such insightful takes on life in America, when they have zero idea what life in America is for the other 330 million people."
Hollywood wont walk away from politics. The left wants to force politics into every single aspect of our lives -- from sports to movies to the food we eat. They wont be satisfied until we are all appropriately woke to their struggles du jour, Gainor told Fox News.
The Emmys celebrate shows that almost no one either watches or cares about," he said. "No ordinary Americans care about The Handmaids Tale. No ordinary Americans watch Veep.

I never knew Dolly Parton was a libtard. That is discouraging.
I do not believe Dolly said anything about trump. The discussion went Tomlin to the Traitor back to tomiln in the trump bashing. At first Dolly had a frown on her face the then she smiled at the end of the rant. Seen that scene twice.
I have never subscribed to cable in my life. Granted, I don’t watch television programming (except NFL football once a week) but my wife who does watch a lot doesn’t desire cable either.
When we go to a hotel, we often go through the channels out of curiosity, and invariably, we look at each other and say “What is this? 900 channels of pure, unadulterated NOTHING. There is NOTHING on cable we would pay money to watch, with only a very few exceptions.
We just got a digital antenna, and that is enough.

She stood right there on stage right in between those two. Do you think she didn’t know what they were going to say before they went up there? By her silence she did one of two things:
1.) She showed herself to be a complete coward and a slave to liberal Hollywood if she disagreed but went up there with them.
2.) She agreed with everything they said.
I am done with her. Either way, I would have nothing to do with her.
I saw a clip on Dolly on the Five. She looked a little uncomfortable standing next to Jane Fonda, but didn’t say anything in the clip. I’m disappointed, too.
2.) She agreed with everything they said.
WOW You’re amazingly blessed to read minds. m She was there because it was a tribute to 9-5. I never would have made the movie with a traitor that was 1980. Last night she passed on the trump bashing. Do you’re thing.

No. Read my post.
I said she did ONE of two things.
There is no middle ground. She did one or the other, and I find both of them despicable.
One shows abject cowardice and one shows abject liberalism.
Perhaps you can elaborate on what the “middle ground” would be that would excuse her behavior?
Do “your” thing, and explain it to me please.
cowardice as you have characterized it might have been class what was she supposed to walk off and ignore the tribute to her movie or turn it into an argument. your choices for your conclusion are limited and small minded.
I am pretty angry she went up there.
There is ZERO chance she did not know in advance what those two pinheads were going to say.
If it was more important to her to be part of some stupid 9-To-5 tribute than it was to say to Fonda and Tomlin that she would prefer not to become embroiled in politics and would rather bow out of the appearance says volumes about her principles and views.
Up to this point, I knew nothing about her political views, which is fine with me. I somewhat admired her songwriting talent (though her actual performance as a singer never appealed to me) and respected her apparent business acumen.
I am disillusioned to a degree that she went up there and was part of that.
Small minded? So say you. I just read your Freep Page. You present yourself as a conservative. Would you have agreed to go up there and take part in that?
Would you be willing to prostitute your professed principles to appear with two people like that, or would you decline to appear?
You mistake “small minded” for actually having principles.
you’re making assumptions that are unknowable and I have already shown your logic to have gaps. I’m done and I still iike Parton.
So, you would have gone up there, and with your presence, supported those two, including of all people, Jane Fonda? Just so you could hold onto your piece of fame?
She didn’t have to walk of the stage. She should never have gone up there. If you think they didn’t discuss what they were going to say in advance, but instead just ad-libbed it, then you have no idea what you are talking about.
If that is the case that you would have gone up there, it doesn’t display any kind of grasp of logic, is simply displays that your principles are all just talk, that is, they aren’t principles at all.
It is your business to like or dislike her, but you cannot defend her going up on stage with those two unless you plead she is senile and had no idea what her presence up there would mean in the face of that dialogue.
The 70-year-old “Jolene” singer, who embarks next month on a 60-date North American tour to support her new album, “Pure and Simple,” also didn’t hold back when asked about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
“I don’t know where they’re going to land but I think they’re both nuts” she said, joking that “it’s like watching the OJ Simpson trial. You just believe whoever’s up next. Whoever testified last is who you believe.”

Look, my issue is not directly with you, I took exception with the tone of your post to me at #67. It got my dander up.
You and I can disagree on this, you can still like her, and I can view her differently than I did before.
I didn’t need to go after you on it.
Good gosh. Although she is not the only person ever to have this issue, I can't believe she brought up the OJ Simpson trial as an example there.
Nope, its out of a not-terribly-good book by a second rate author. Thanks for giving that particular bit of “I hate Christians, Conservatives and everything that’s not liberal utopian thinking” more viewership and mindshare. Not to mention helping drive sales of the book again...

I’m worried that Trump has a little of that, too. He seems to be swayed most by whomever he talked to last. It’s a sign of uncertain principles.
Who needs TV, when there’s You Tube and Netflix.
