I expect that the law enforcement crackdown will be swift and very quick. Especially with no more President Obama to encourage the rioters.
Eric Holder's FBI looked into this in 2012 and again late 2016. Multiple witness statements and part about f a video shows at the officer took the firearm, securied it is evidence, and unloaded. Of course his DNA could be on it! Non story. Drop gun theory has been made up by outside Marxist agitators. There is no eyewitness testimony or video evidence of a drop gun.
Finally this thread has been restored to the News forum, where it should have been all along.
There wouldn't be, if he had worn glove according to policy.
How about the DNA of the guy who got shot. Why wasn't it on the gun?
There was another guy in the car with the driver, but he went in Church’s Chicken.
I’m surmising that was his gun.
Thanks. That is a possibility. I was reading it as “there was no other DNA, except the cop’s”.
Very hard for DNA on gun. I never got good prints off guns either. Sometimes but not always. Just because dead perp DNA not found on gun doesn’t mean it wasn’t his. Just because cops DNA found on gun doesn’t mean anything nefarious happened.
He was fired for several violations of dept policy: Personal firearm not authorized, took gloves off, wrong evidence marking, etc. Criminal charges came later, much later after FBI cleared him (actually didn’t clear him, just said there was not wnough evidence for any federal civil rights violation)
Definitely some room for improvement in PD policy and compliance. These violations just feed critics.
I watched the video and it’s obvious that the cops hands are empty.
This has been bubbling under the surface for weeks, and it has now burst wide open.
Many weekend events have already been cancelled, and more cancellations are anticipated. There's really no telling what this is going to lead to.
According to the state's DNA expert, the lack of DNA evidence on the gun did not preclude the possibility that the victim held the gun.
There were many twists and turns in this case, and as usual, a mischaracterization of the actual evidence by the race baiters on the sidelines.
There were things that indicated the police officer might have gone too far; but in his written order, the judge made it pretty clear that there just wasn't enough proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
“Why is it some people try to influence a civilized proceeding by acting like savages?”
They’re not acting
Lol, I have done the same but less on line and more in person. You must be lucky, the ones I run into are dumber than dirt. The top teir string pullers are just plain evil imho
