The biggest things in the turn around to our present sorry state did not get a mention.
First, Obama should not have gone on a witch-hunt for George Zimmerman. The local police had already investigated and determined, correctly, that Zimmerman acted in self-defense. Obama should have asked people to accept that.
Second: Pretty much the same thing happened in Ferguson. Obama should have urged everyone to let the investigation go forward and accept the result. He didn't. Instead, he threw gasoline on the fire.
Trevon Martin and Michael Brown both died for the same reason: they attacked men who had guns.
