The top congressional Democrats on Wednesday night said they reached a deal with President Donald Trump to shield about 800,000 young immigrants from deportation — without the president's proposed border wall as a condition.
"We had a productive meeting at the White House with the President. The discussion focused on DACA," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement following a White House dinner with Trump.
"We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that's acceptable to both sides," they added.

Agreed. The most important policy change Donald Trump offered as a candidate was reduced immigration, a border wall, and enforcement against sanctuary cities, and demanding lawful immigration. We needed it to save our sovereignty and not allow the country to be hijacked by new non assimilated dependent Dem voters. The globalists are behind this.
If he is making excuses why he can’t do even that, he had better be prepared for a very angry scorned electorate that expected much more. I haven’t lost all hope yet, but neither will I make excuses for politicians who fail to do what they promised and that which got them elected.

The Reps in Congress played along until they absolutely couldn't duck a meaningful vote any longer and then they crumpled. It would be the same with wall funding.
No use going through weeks/months of kabuki when Ryan said in June he only knew of one person who wanted a full wall.
I fault Trump for making a bunch of claims he can't back up but that's what politicians do. The real issue is the votes aren't there.

That doesn’t jive with Trump’s spokesman: “While DACA and border security were both discussed, excluding the wall was certainly not agreed to.”
