Oh great! Corruption on a grand style at the state level instead of the federal level.

It’s not bad with the states if we can get buying across state lines..it’s not federally run...and the truth is majority citizens won’t accept a clear repeal.
Let the states deal with it..the conservative states will have a better plan and California can just go bankrupt.
To: taxcontrol
Some states will never live within their means (the block grants) - California for example, will fund gender reassignment surgery before they’ll fund bypasses.

This is going to leave John McQueeg very conflicted.

Regardless, you are in favor of taxing my health care to pay for the poor, that is the core of Obamacare, without the mandate that cost just goes up.

Read the headline, then read the first sentence. linda's legislation does not REPEAL nobamacare, it replaces it with something else.
This is going nowhere.

Link to
Axios article about this.
Significant excerpt:
Be smart: This is Republicans' last-ditch effort to repeal and replace the ACA before the clock runs out at the end of this month. So there's going to be a lot of chatter over the next few weeks about this, but it is almost certainly not going anywhere. Leadership isn't talking seriously about it, and it's very doubtful it has the 50 votes needed to pass.
'Nuff said.

Yep, it is now given that government gives us healthcare. Repealing the government interventions that have pushed healthcare costs out of control is apparently off the table. Where is insurance sale across state lines?
Where is getting away from the deduction for employer-provided insurance, which politically could only be done in tandem with personal income tax cuts for the middle class—that they are now talking about doing without getting away from federally deducted employer-provided insurance?
The opportunities are there—and they are not taking them — or even getting government out via repeal.
To: Rockitz
Pretty amazing that the person we elected to NOT play nice with all the scumbags in DC, is certainly warming up to all of them. time will tell, if we were all conned. Although, it looks like we might not have to wait that long.

Why do they keep saying “repeal” in reference to these bills?!? Not even close! Unless they get rid of the “EHB’s”, the individual mandate (not just switch the penalty from the IRS to the insurance co.) and the “age 26 mandate”, etc, etc. it is not a “repeal bill”.
