Residents who supported the change said it was about civil rights. Those who opposed it said voting is a privilege immigrants should earn with citizenship.

Seems there’s nothing that could stop these municipal voters from voting in state and federal elections. Is there?
How is it a civil right, to allow non citizens to vote in America elections? Aren’t we currently going through a hysteria about Russians trying to influence our elections? Now you WANT people that are not citizens to actually vote in our elections?
No, Jeff Sessions, where are you?
This must be acted upon immediately.
Aren't we a Republic?
Good point. To use a current issue for demonstration of hypocrisy.
And I am a US citizen in Georgia. Let's all go vote in Maryland!
Since voting qualifications are a state matter (with the exceptions created by the 15th, 19th, and 26th amendments) what’s to keep a state or municipality from letting foreigners vote? Maryland state law must not prohibit it if MD cities are doing it.
Sounds like a plan.
Roadtrip?
What’s the story on Harford County Muslims?
Treason?
It is not prohibited...they can vote in local elections—and probably state—if the municipality allows it.
Federal elections are another matter—must be US citizen~tho you know the dems are going to move to get this changed.

The only saving grace was that it might be a “retirement community”, but here it only says that “seniors” are given preference, not exclusivity. So it’s open, but it’s not.
Paging SCOTUS! This is illegal any EVERYONE responsible for enacting it should serve hard time in a federal prison along with Hillary, Comey, Huma & Weiner, Cheryl, Lyin' Loretta Lynch, Eric WithHolder, Susan Rice, Lerner, Pagliano, etc.. OH WAIT..
From the 14th Amendment until 1927 (Nixon v. Herndon), voting was a political right. Its boundaries were determined by government.
With Nixon v. Herndon, Scotus declared voting to be a civil right under the 14A. It opened a can of troubles that cascades to this day.
As a civil right, we are one scotus decision away from enfranchising EVERYONE who happens to be in the US on election day.
Why limit it to residents, even illegal residents? Why not allow all of us to vote in their elections?
It’s not a muslim community. We have no control over who buys the units said Jihad Shahid Mohammed of Al-Asqui & Mohammed Realty.
I live in Harford and have seen a few more hijab’s than previously
This is really discouraging. Residents should have been allowed to vote on this.
