Los Angeles County supervisors are expected to vote Tuesday on whether to restrict county employees from traveling to nine states that oppose the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, the Obama-era policy that protected undocumented children from being deported and which President Trump plans to end.

The motion by supervisors Hilda Solis and Janice Hahn would ban LA County employees from several departments from vising Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina and West Virginia on county business. The only exception is if there is in an emergency response, according to the motion.

I’m certain Texans everywhere will weep at the sudden absence of LA county employees traveling on official business.

I propose that if LA experiences an earthquake no help be sent from the nine states LA is boycotting.

Why don’t we just wall off leftist enclaves like this and be done with it? No one in and no one out.

Let's help them out with a reciprocal law. No LA-la-leftists allowed in Texas.

I read this as an LA county ban. LA county doesn’t have a sports team except employees in rec leagues. The travel ban that effects sports is the state which has the state universities and the UC systems, but they waffle when there is playoffs etc. I have seen these bans come and go and the first time some engineer wants to attend a vital meeting on the water system or a county supervisor has a girl friend in Georgia the exemptions will fly. Wonder if the NCAA will step up and show their colors, maybe too many states not suing.

This is a great suggestion! Keep ALL LA county government “workers” away from here! I don’t want to be within 100 miles of those idiots.

They can shove the Constitutionally illegal motion up their Hollywood Bowl. One day these freaks are just going to ignite a civil war. They think they will exit and that’s pretty funny. What’s not funny will be when the 1st. Marine Division occupies Sacramento and Los Angeles and the Navy blockades their coast while the Federal Government turns off the money spigot.

California in its righteousness will eventually ban any employees of state and local government froom traveling anywhere nationally outside of California. Then they will have to start banning classes of private citizens subjects and will have to start putting border checkpoints on roads that cross the border and state travel enforcers in airports. I believe they will try some things like that eventually.

How dare those states not be in favor of certain precious people being allowed to break the law?
