Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon blasted the geniuses in former President George W. Bushs administration for selling out American workers and getting the country stuck in the Middle East in a 60 Minutes interview with CBS anchor Charlie Rose.
Bannon took offense at establishment Republicans associated with the Bush administration who went out of their way to question President Donald Trumps competence during the 2016 campaign even though nearly all of their genius ideaslike Paul Wolfowitzs brand of nation-building and neoconservatismturned out to be disastrous.
I hold these people in contempt, total and complete contempt, Bannon told Rose, adding that the former Bush administration officials get him riled up with anger like nothing else. Theyre idiots, and theyve gotten us in this situation, and they question a good man like Donald Trump.
Bannon blasted the geniuses in the Bush administration that let China in the W.T.O., and reminded Rose that the genius in the Bush administration told us, Hey, theyre going to be a liberal democracy. Theyre going to be free-market capitalism. The same geniuses that got us into Iraq.
Bannon also denounced George W. Bush and his entire national security apparatus, which included people like Condi Rice, Brent Scowcroft, Colin Powell and Dick Cheney.
Consistent with the disdain he has always had for the bipartisan permanent political class in Washingtons Boomtown, Bannon also blasted the Obama crowd, which he said was almost the same.
Clinton crowd, almost the same, he continued. Its three administrations.

Charlie Rose is a pompous ass and a weasel.
Just saw the Fox tapes of 9/11 sixteen years ago and am shaken once again. If only Pres. Trump had been in charge, instead of the Ivy Leaguers whose response morphed into our endless failed attempt at nation building in the Muslim countries that hatched this evil attack.
We certainly have been stupid for importing more militant Islamists to wait for their opportunities to kill more Americans in Boston, San Bernidino, Orlando......
Bannon was great. Charlie Rose was the classic agitated liberal faithfully toeing the Leftist line. Only disappointment was that Bannon did not use the opportunity to point out just how fraudulent the MSM has become “So tell me Charlie, did you ever ask just how Hillary Clinton went from being “dead broke” in 2001 and then after ten years of “public service” come to be worth $31 million in 2012. Or donations to the Clinton Foundation correlated with access and favors. Or perhaps you might have asked or investigated just who pays and protects Antifa”. All and all Bannon did well but the sad part is despite his apparent loyalty and devotion to Trump, out of the White House, he no longer has real day to day power. Say what he might, the swamp won by getting him away from Trump.
The GOP would have fought Gore.Like they did Obama...Oh wait.
With Obama they feared being called racist (or so they say).
With Gore they would have feared being tagged "deniers"...Which in some small minds is worse than racist.
The only people who miss the Bush Dynasty are the Bushes and a handful of RINOcons.
Be strong Karl Rove.
Sounds like Bannons contempt for the Bush family rivals mine.
Ditto that!
I Ditto that ditto!
“Do not have a president whose family business is politics.”
If the core of Trump voters spread one message, this ^^^ should be it. A survey of recent presidential history should reveal this statement as a central axiom in the struggle against the deep state, the swamp, the GOPe...whatever you care to call those who have no skin in the game as it relates “to the real lives led by real people.”
It extends back to at least the 1949s and Prescott Bush, maybe further.
I think racists trumps everything.
When he snarkily told those opposed to his proposed amnesty for illegals (”immigration reform”) that he would “see them at the bill signing,” I started to think ill of GWB. His behavior toward Trump completed the job of revealing his true colors.
Right on and all that they did is strengthen the resolve of us who are aiming to depose the GOPe and replace them with true conservatives and patriots.
Had Gore won, i really dont think it would have made much difference... not enough to matter...
Oh, how I was criticized for my Bush hatred by friends and family. The Bush admin rivals Obama’s admin for idiots that almost destroyed America.
“...We know now that W was merely a pawn of the globalists...”
Yes. We gave him TWO TERMS, and BOTH SWAMPS OF CONGRESS...and he did NOTHING with it. Other than cater to big political interests.
There was a reason Ronald Reagan did not care for vice president George Bush Sr. He was forced to choose him by the GOP.
Nkw we know why!
And his son was nothing more a mini-me of his father!
Man. I like this guy
Bannon was great.
Complete contempt is mild compared to how I feel about the globalist traitors.
Yep. George H. W. (Read My Lips) Bush. That’s when it all started to fall apart. The first failure in a supercharged 28 year run of uni-party globalists. 28 years! And if not for DJT, we’d be heading for 32.
