Heavenly Father,
Some things are beyond our understanding. Who can comprehend this awesome wonder---that the God of all creation has a hand upon which He has written our very own name? Lord God, how much You love Your children! Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts; Your ways higher than our ways. We bow before You in awe and amazement, for there is none like You. We owe our very lives to You; every breath we take is by Your grace. Thank You, Father, for the length, the breadth, the depth, and the height of Your love for us.
Father, just as we cannot save ourselves, neither can we save our country. Our needs are beyond the capacity of human wisdom and endeavor, and we cannot find our way back without Your help. We pray for Your mercy, Lord. Save us from ourselves and restore us to the nation You want us to be. Help us to be more concerned with Your thoughts toward us than the opinions of those in this world.
We cry out on behalf of all those in the path of Hurricane Irma. Lord, so many are in grave danger. Others need gasoline, food, water, and shelter. Please call forth Your people to come to their aid. Shelter all from the storm, and supply our first responders with Your strength and protection. Grant our precious military patriots the shelter of Your wings. May You gather them up in Your hands whenever they are in trouble or peril. Thank You for Your loving watch over our President and his family. Continue to give him strength for the battle, and may our legislators awaken to the responsibility they have to You and to the people of America.
Thank You, Father, that we have a High Priest in Heaven---our Savior, Jesus Christ. How blessed we are to be Your people! Though we deserve no favor, yet You crown us with loving kindness and tender mercies. Blessed are You, Lord God, our King. May we pray this together in agreement across this nation, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

FATHER GOD,
We stand upon Your faithful Promises in PSALM 91 on behalf of those in harms way during Hurricane Irma, those who are recovering from Hurricane Harvey, the earthquake victims in Mexico, and those who are fleeing the fires in the west.
Psalm 91
1
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3
For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7
Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.

Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,

no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.

You, LORD, are good. Your unfailing love continues forever, and Your faithfulness continues to each generation.
