Trump was right again about voter fraud, this time from New Hampshire

President Trump was upbraided in the press for stating that illegal out-of-state voters swung the New Hampshire vote to Hillary Clinton in a state he otherwise would have won in the presidential election of 2016.

Mixing news with opinion, the Boston Globe, under the headline, "Trump makes groundless N.H. vote fraud claims," led with:

WASHINGTON — President Trump has revived unproven voter fraud allegations, telling a group of senators in a private meeting Thursday that he lost New Hampshire last November because thousands of Massachusetts residents were bused to the neighboring state to cast ballots against him.

The president offered no evidence to support the claim.

WMUR, an area broadcaster, had the same kind of mixed news-opinion reporting here.

But it turns out Trump was objectively right all along, and not for the first time.

According to Rowan Scarborough of the Washington Times:

More than 6,500 people registered to vote in New Hampshire on Nov. 8 using out-of-state driver’s licenses, and since then the vast majority have neither obtained an in-state license nor registered a motor vehicle.

Conservatives say the state’s same-day registration is an invitation for fraud because of loose proof-of-residence rules.

New Hampshire House Speaker Shawn Jasper, a Republican, issued the numbers Thursday based on inquiries he made to the Department of State, which oversees elections, and the Department of Safety.

Since Election Day, Republicans have charged that a significant number of nonresident Democrats, principally from Massachusetts, flowed into New Hampshire to vote illegally, tilting a close race to their party.

And yet, outside of a few sporadic cases has anything been done about voter fraud? We don’t even seem to be able to kick illegal aliens out of the country, much less keep them from voting.

Now, time for some vote fraud forensics.

The state should have the right to pull the vote card for all the out of state registrations that did not subsequently establish residency, and then compile statistics on their voting to determine if there was a pattern. IF there was a significant pattern, it would demonstrate that the out of state registrations were an organized effort to defraud and disenfranchise the legitimate voters of the state.

I think it’s been definitely established that out-of-state voters crossed into NH and voted on November 8, and for many elections before than.

My question is, does anyone know what federal or state agencies can investigate this? Sometimes states seem to have sole jurisdiction over their election systems, but this involves folks crossing state lines to commit voter fraud.

Does anyone know the law on this, and more swipes at Jeff Sessions doesn’t answer that question. Does anyone know the law what agencies could investigate this?

I would guess almost all of those 6000 are college students. Most of them don’t drive or have vehicles in state.

There is no minimum amount of time you have to live in New Hampshire to register to vote.

Q: What do I need in order to register to vote?
A: Bring an ID showing your identity, age, citizenship, and voting address (domicile). IDs are still valid for this if they’ve expired in the last 5 years. To show your identity, it’s fine if an ID shows an address in another town, city, or state. Your voting address can be proven on another document.
If you don’t have an ID showing one of these things, you can also sign a short sworn statement to prove who you are or your age, citizenship or address.

This should be a top FBI priority. Every out of state voter should be prosecuted and sent to prison, and any people who coordinated the out of state voting should also go to prison. This is comparable to conspiracy to overthrow the government, and it is certainly felony conspiracy and felony vote fraud.

Send 5,000 criminals to prison for 5-10 years, and there will be a lot less fraud next time around. Send all illegals who voted back to their homes, and other illegals won’t do that again.

No, but students who do drive and have established residency are required to get an NH license within 60 days. All this should be easy enough to check...

I would guess almost all of those 6000 are college students. Most of them don’t drive or have vehicles in state.

This was discussed often on The Kuhner Report and The Howie Carr Show out of WRKO in Boston around November 8th. It's a well known fact in NH and Massachusetts and it's been going on for a fair number of years. It sounded as if college students were heavily involved.

The NH legislature tried to do some things that were vetoed by a Dim governor a few years back, and a minor change was made recently, but nothing that prevents the voter fraud from continuing.

But it is so well known and has been for years. Who the heck can investigate it?

A lot of students, especially out of state don’t bring their cars. As you say if they are driving in NH they are required to obtain a NH drivers license. But what if they don’t? They may get fined but that doesn’t mean they are ineligible to vote.

Same day registration as well as no minimum time in state to establish residency is the problem.

NH’s voter eligibility requirements are weak. Why did the Republicans in the state allow it?

One shouldn’t be allowed to be registered to vote in two different places. I am completely fine with out of state college students voting in New Hampshire, but not if they are also registered in some other state.

Q: I have registered or previously voted in another state. Can I vote in New Hampshire?
A: If you’ve register or voted in another state in the past but live at school in New Hampshire, you can register and cast your ballot here. You may only vote in one state, of course.
