Trump is with the voter..

That is what Deplorables saw from early in his campaign. President Trump truly cares about people. His journey through the primaries brought him into contact with ordinary people and their very real struggles. He genuinely wants to improve things. It's at a great personal sacrifice to what was a very excellent personal and professional life.

Now we have disasters that could be of near Biblical proportions when it's all through. And still, almost everyone in DC is playing politics. President Trump is to ethical to let disaster relief run out of money. Republicans in the US Senate left him no choice.

At this point, I'd like to see President Trump accomplish all he can in four years, and not bother with a second term. It might make everyone behave better that way.

I hate Schumer and Pelosi, they are scum and not to be trusted but sometimes its best to make a deal with the devils you know.

Trump knows the GOPe is the true enemy

Trump has long warned that he would work with Democrats, if necessary, to fulfill his campaign promises.

One of the most bizarre statements ever. So, this writer thinks Trump can work with Dims to build the border wall, enforce all immigration laws, cut taxes, appoint more conservative judges, reduce government spending, etc?

The Dims have spent eight months blocking everything they could and holding up numerous sub-cabinet nominees, and someone thinks he can work with Dims to fulfill his campaign promises?

If Trump can make decent deals with the Democrats, he should go for it.

Or use it as leverage against the do-nothing Republicans. I’d like to see Trump sit down and start talking to the Democrats about setting up a national health care system. THAT would make the Republicans join together to come up with a working alternative to Obamacare - and they’d be knocking each other over to do it.

When the next SCOTUS vacancy appears and Schumer demands that Trump choose a "Mainstream Moderate" don't come crying to me.

Demanding it and getting it are two entirely different things, but I guess it depends on who does the "demanding." What would happen if Ryan and/or McConnell "demanded" a Mainstream Moderate? When you consider what they've said and done for the last seven monthsd, I don't see that as at all far fetched.

IMO, the GOP (note, no "e") is as big a problem to this nation as the RATS.

“By working with Schumer to get a 3-month extension, Trump is undercutting McConnell”

I read Mitch and Paul were getting ready to send a poison pill. Well 3 months ago when they shoved the 3 months CR through they promised in Sept we would get some of the cuts and some wall funding. So here we go again. Same BS. In 3 months you watch Mitch, Paul, Chuckee and Nancy will get together and f us but good. I would not be surprised if they send up a veto proof POS budget.

“His journey through the primaries brought him into contact with ordinary people and their very real struggles”

Decades before the primaries, he worked for his father in the buildings he owned and renovated. He preferred working with the blue-collar tradesmen than any others. I’m sure he came to recognize and appreciate the struggles of ordinary people.

I never want to see on this forum again that dems won’t help Trump with his agenda.

The demand itself is immaterial. If President Trump caves on the demand, it counts.

I think he might have success there. Here’s a fly in that ointment.

If he goes and works with the Democrats to come up with decent legislation, who does the public vote for in November of 2018?

Yes the Democrats would be motivated to work with him while they are in the minority, but then what happens if they are voted into the majority?

None the less, this wouldn’t be Trump’s fault. It would be the mother ——ing Republicans who refused to work with him and acted the part of a subservient Democrat B-team for the duration.

Trump”s actions are BAD NEWS for establishment RINOS - NOT conservatives. McConnell should be horsewhipped, tarred abd feathered and run out of Washington on a rail. Ditto Ryan. McConnell should have dumped the 60 vote requirement and Ryan should have supported his president.

That’s going to be a problem no matter what.
In good conscience, I couldn’t vote for any of those dirtbag Republicans, and I sure won’t vote for a Democrat. That leaves me voting for members of the Trump party - which doesn’t exist (yet).

Ryan and McConnell wanted an 18 month spending bill that
would have put it past primary season.
Trump wanted a 3 month spending bill.

The GOP was unwilling to give him a short term spending bill.

So, bend over & take it Ryan & McConnell, because Trump just schlonged you!

Enjoy the schlonging Ryan and McConnell, you will get a lot more until you leave or get voted out of office as undocumented Democrats.

Defund/defang/vote out the undocumented Democrat traitors in Congress!

Trump is flushing out all the Rino’s and Undocumented Democratic plants in Congress!

President Trump and we will get rid of Undocumented Democrats posing as Republicans in congress!

This could very well be as important an election as last year’s in some ways.

We have Trump in there, but he can’t get his agenda passed without replacing most Republican Representatives and Senators up for election in 2018.
