This is actually one of the reasons I moved from Seattle to rural KY in 2011. I am no longer a part of “those who dwell safely in the coastlands.”
That was actually Abraham pleading to God.
Lot didn’t want to leave Sodom.

I settled in Bremerton, WA after I retired from the Army in 1992. I met my little wife there. She had moved to Seattle with her mom and family when she was 10. She saw Seattle fall from grace, from a nice city she said it was, to the dump it had become. We moved home here to my old home area in NE Alabama in 2006. She could not be happier. We live outside of town, about 7 miles from everything. We have a nice home, lots of quiet most of the time when the guy across the way is not shooting up the hill side behind his house!! :-) But, she hated what Seattle had become. She was very glad to go.
