In a video message posted to his Twitter account, former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore says it is time to end the federal governments involvement in education and allow parents to take the lead in how best to educate their children.
Education has always been in the purview of the parent, explains Moore, who is running against establishment GOP candidate Luther Strange in Alabamas U.S. Senate primary runoff for the seat vacated by now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
They know best how to educate their children, he continues. The states have various forms of education, but the federal government has no involvement in education under the Constitution.

Amen.
Congress needs to pass a law that will prevent government workers from being unionized.
Get government and the unions out of our schools.
Pass a law that our universities MUST meet some semblance of parity Republicans vs Democrats on our campuses, or forgo government funding.
There's no reason why our universities have to be government funded Communist, Fascist, or worse re-education centers.
well there goes the teachers union endorsement..
I like this guy.

Please...END THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION!!!
Absolutely.
Spoken like a true Freeper!
No Fed, no state. Largely self-regulated, self-assessed like doctors.
That, I agree with!!!
What does the Department of Education DO..?
So federal dollars are fine but policies are not? Turn down the money and then the federal government would have no control over you.
Yes!
More Moore!
As for universities the same thing applies. Totally remove the government from any facet of financing or regulating Education other than the military Academies and on base schools at foreign installations.
“To each according to his need.”
Right. Federal money implies and denotes Federal control.
(uhhhhh....aren’t the kiddies also being taught “pronoun neutral” in school nowadays???)
