The Western US is facing cataclysmic forest fires, at least one started by idiot boys throwing fireworks in Eagle Creek area, near Multnomah Lodge, in the COLUMBIA GORGE - a greenie paradise. I-84 is closed near Multnomah Files to Exit 62, just west of Hood River.

These fires didn't need much help, however. Hotter and dryer than any year in the past. Seriously awful here and no end in sight.

I was talking to a son in Denver last night-——I couldn’t believe it when he said that the smoke from west coast fires made it a tad hazy.

I live in Colorado Springs, and it's been hazy here for about 10 days. Initially I wondered why my eyes were smarting outside until I found out about the fires. My heart goes out to all of you suffering through this in the west.

His wife also works the fires taking drinks, food and anything else they need.

Someone on another forum said they had tried to take snacks and drinks to one of the fire camps, but a FEMA official stopped them and said that there was a caterer bringing meals, and that the firefighters weren't allowed to stray from their proscribed diet.

A: Is that normal?

And B: What's the best way for a civilian to help?

Hopefully he will remove the 30% tariff that he just slapped on Canadian lumber. The reason we import so much Canadian lumber is because the enviro-wackos destroyed our industry especially in the Northwest and has nothing to do with unfair trade policies.

yes, higher number is better on the top line. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what the bottom line means...it’s weird.
