Japanese are working on logistics of evacuation now. At the moment, there are reportedly close to 60K Japanese in S. Korea, of whom about 20K are tourists. There were talks of evacuation plan in UK about a month ago.Brits probably have small presence in SK, so should not be hard to get their nationals out. If they start to get their citizens out in a phased manner, words would spread and Americans could also head for exit. There are about 200K Americans currently in SK, according to media reports. Some of them are legally U.S. citizens but in reality spent most of their life in SK. It is better to make them leave voluntarily without dramatic announcement from U.S. government.
P!
You know it’s coming. Kim’s going to try to land one between Japan and Guam....and screw it up....and kaboom...NK is devastated.
Putin added his voice today saying the sanctions have been “exhausted”, he urged diplomacy.
Putin also said regarding the Norks ‘they’d rather eat grass than give up their nuclear programme’.
I wonder if he fully realizes the size of the gift he’d get in return?
I honestly don’t give to whits about NK.
This is like the native american indians threatening the US because THEY now have guns!
ROFL
What I am really worried about is... China. I have a bad feeling this whole thing is a power play by China and an excuse to start a world war where China comes out on top at our expense.
Would you bet on them vs us?
Sounds like the Norks think they can toy with us. And so far, they have. Never mind they couldn’t hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle; they’re spraying missiles every which way, one of which will inevitably kill people and worse. And all we’ve done is waggle our finger at them. And with each unanswered and unpunished provocation, they grow bolder.
Gift package FROM the Clinton administration.
What is that from?
We believe in trading “gifts” - and our “gifts” are much bigger and our delivery system is more reliable....
“Gift package FROM the Clinton administration.”
And Obama. Both claimed their deals would prevent the NORKs from getting a bomb.
It’s becoming increasingly apparent to me that, despite what they may say openly, the ChiComs and Russians are not only fully supporting NK on this but instructing them to do it. Perhaps their aim is to trigger WW3. They do have a significant alliance in place: Russia, China, Iran, NK, several hard left Latin American regimes.
It is said that one day the Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him, saying all kind of rude words.
The Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man, Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?
The young man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, It would belong to me, because I bought the gift.

I'll bet they would love to have a bit of grass.

I've been saying that here for some time. Only it wouldn't only involve the ChiComs.

Despite efforts by the United Nations to impose isolating sanctions on North Korea in response to the countrys continued development of nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles, trade between Russia and North Korea soared more than 85 percent in the first four months of the year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said pursuing further sanctions against North Korea is useless, saying theyd rather eat grass than give up their nuclear programme.
The US said on Monday it would table a new UN resolution on tougher sanctions in the wake of the latest test of a nuclear bomb by the North on Sunday.
Mr Putin also said that the ramping up of military hysteria could lead to global catastrophe.
He said diplomacy was the only answer.
China, the Norths main ally, has also called for a return to negotiations. ...
